So there is a debate about whether Bruno and Ronaldo can work together and BOTH play to their best.

Obviously I doubt this would even be a debate if they were both playing for City or Liverpool. But as its United a negative spin needs to be found and perpetuated.

Personally I think the only impact Ronaldo will likely have on Bruno is taking away a few penalty/ free kick goals a year. However, as long as Ronaldo scores them then United won't be any worse off.

They're international form is used as the basis of the argument, which I find rather silly. Firstly, at international level players don't train and play together all that often. You often find the best international on field link ups are from players who also play together at club level.
Secondly, the tactics and formation of the Portuguese international team and Manchester United are very different. With Portugal lining up in a 433 with Bruno often being asked to play deeper and wider on the right hand side of midfield rather than further forward and more central as he does with United. United effectively build their side around Bruno and allow him a certain amount of freedom not just to drift around the pitch but to also try more riskier passes. Those high risk, high reward passes more often than not don't come off but when they do they nearly always lead to a goal.

Ultimately great players often find a way to work together and play well together. Both Bruno and Ronaldo are great players so I don't see any need to worry. I'll leave that to all of the opposition players, pundits and fans who have been kicking off since we signed Ronaldo.

They'll be fine Shappy. We've seen Bruno get frustrated when other players aren't doing it, he sometimes tries to take it all on himself. Now he has Ronaldo to take the pressure off. Plus you would have had the opposition focusing on Bruno as he was our best player. Now they have Ronaldo to focus on. That goes for Sancho, Greenwood and Rashford up front too.

Like Smokey and the Bandit. Ronaldo is Burt Reynolds in a black Trans-Am. Bruno could be the Snowman who goes under the radar and does serious damage.

Did Cavani and Sancho travel for the match?

We do have so many weapons up front now that it seems teams won't as easily be able to double up on players without leaving a serious threat unmarked.

I think Ronaldo will expect to be taking all those freekicks and the 30 penalties a year Utd get, and I wonder how Bruno will react when the spotlight isn't quite on him as much. For me he needs to be the main attraction but we'll see. Hopefully they can hit it off better than they do for Portugal with Bruno in a more advanced role for Utd. He may as well be Portugal's ball boy.

Fernandes seemed to enjoy himself, stunning goal.

I don't see bruno making a fuss.
You cannot stop Ronaldo.
Bruno might be someone who looks up to Ronaldo, you can never know these things unless you got an inside source.
Ronaldo is the GOAT and it showed today. Both world class goals.

Imo, seems like Bruno will have more space for shots like that, since he won't be the main treat anymore. This could do wonders for him.
Also, if he likes to be "the main attraction", he could only try harder to become that. I don't think he is a player who would give up easily.
