Reports that Fletcher will take over with Carrick as assistant while they line up a replacement. That doesn't fill me with confidence.

Id rather have Fletcher until the end of the year and get Ten Hag in the summer than get someone else now.

The season is a write off, onto next year.

Agree Ludwig. In one sense its sensible to appoint an interim manager if they can't get their number one target but Fletcher and Carrick have no real managerial experience.

Rodgers would probably help Stabilise things and his teams play good football but as others have mentioned he doesn't seem likely to be able to get us winning trophies.
It can be a one off but Chelsea destroyed Leicester yesterday and Rodgers didn't seem able to alter what was happening.

Zidane is touted as the number one target but managing in the Premier league is a different kettle of fish to the primera liga. Likewise Ten Haag of Ajax might struggle to adjust to our league and the intensity of it. Can't see Poch leaving PSG especially with the talented squad he has. He surely must have a better chance of glory with them than with us.

So all in all things are very unstable. Its one thing to sack Ole and recognise it is long overdue but it is much harder to replace him with a top manager who will really give us a fighting chance of getting back to the top.

One last thing. I want to give some respect to Ole. He seems to be a very decent bloke who has tried his hardest but unfortunately come up short. No shame in that. He has always behaves with dignity and has the clubs interests at heart. He also has always fronted up and made clear his passion for Utd and appreciation of the fans support. I hope in the future he will come back to watch at Old Trafford and be given a warm reception.

Eric it’s not even official and people are already slaying fletch and carrick ? this fan base is unbelievable! There’s a game in two days of course we need an interim set up!
Really don’t want zidane, but got no faith in the yanks to get this appointment right!

Thanks Ole, from the mood around the place in Valencia and anfield under Jose we’ve come a long way squad wise! Ole hit his ceiling but class and dignity personified ?⚪️⚫️.

It’s not unbelievable. Carrick has been part of the problem - this coaching staff is nowhere near
Top flight material. OGS, Carrick, Phelan et Al should be thanked for their service and moved on not promoted. Not good enough.
