So it took FIVE hours to explain to our board why Ole couldn't continue. Apparently they didn't understand until the words were broken down into the most simple way and written in crayon. They had to bring in a primary teacher from a special needs school to help. It's okay though they thought the teacher did such a great job they gave them a 3 year deal worth 8m a year as our new head of communications.

Fans have been crying out for a change, the coaching hasn't been good enough.

So we have currently replaced a former club legend with little top level experience, who was surrounded by coaches who are experts in failure, with a former academy graduate with NO top level or any level of experience, and kept him surrounded by the same incompetent coaches.

Smooth move guys. Why did it take them five hours to come up with this cunning plan when Baldrick could have come up with the same thing in under a minute? Is that the level of incompetence we have in the highest positions at our club.

Old Trafford might be the theatre of dreams, but the United boardroom is where fans hope goes to die.

The club seem determined to just carry on with the same old same old. They could look to bring in someone with an outside perspective, someone with significant levels of experience, but they would rather stick with what they know, what's comfortable, something that won't challenge the status quo or rock the boat.

We are no longer Manchester United, we are Mediocre United.

{Ed025's Note - good stuff shappy..

I completely agree with you post Shappy.

United have become a circus run by clowns.

If Fletcher has a good run of results, and his friends in the media start to champion him, along with the support of someone like Sir Alex within the club do people think history could repeat itself and the former player working as interim manager could get the job full time?

Or do people have enough faith in the board to have learned from that mistake?

Shappy, best (and one of your shortest) posts I've ever read on this site. Totally agree with it
And the sad thing is that the board will still be there making the same mistakes
If Solskjaer goes, I want him to expose these frauds for what they are. They won't dare sue him as the fans will turn on them. This is the perfect moment for a monumental change that the club has been craving for years.

Shappy - The irony is many Utd fans believed all would be solved once Ole was sacked. No doubt many have woken up delighted this morning. The board have basically sacked the two most experienced football men at the Club and left the juniors running the asylum.

It’s the coaching that stinks at Man Utd and now they’ve just been handed the keys to the castle. The jokes on us again but we can always look forward to arguing amongst ourselves whilst the Club play musical chairs on the Titanic.

The board have handed over the keys to Ole's wheels to his beloved friends. What a nice gesture ?.

Couldn't agree more shappy, we should have a total clear out now and get rid of the dead wood.

Since Fergie's retirement, Phil Jones has outlasted four managers — David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Does that qualify him for the job? Wouldn't surprise me if the inept board of ours weren't giving the idea a coat of looking at. ???.
