Looking at Rangnicks comments from 2019 on how Utds recruitment has been poor since SAF retired and that you need at least 50% of your purchases to be a success and receive top quality coaching once bought are we below 50% sucesss rate?

just pulling 22 names out of recent memory and by no means a full list of recent buys, are more than 11 of them successes? i'd say no.

Fellani - Mata -Lukaku -Di Maria -Dalot- Damian - Blind -Matic -Fred -Pogba- Sanchez-Shaw -Maguire- Bailly -lidelof-AWB -James -Schnierlin-Sweinstieger-Martial -Depay -Cavani

On a positive note in 6 months purely from a wages point of view a new manager will likely have Lingard, Mata, matic, Pogba, Bailly (lindelof) Dalot, Martial, cavani, Pereria and possibly Henderson gone which financially if nothing else clears space again for at least 3 decent signings.

I think there is some cracking talent in the Academy that needs its pathway cleared first and some of those names you have mentioned should do that.

Hannibal Mejbri is the one I am expecting to break into the side before the end of 2022.

Absolutely spot on Caolan. i have been praising Mejbri for some time now. It's about time he got a chance in that midfield area.
Lets face it Matic, Fred and Mctominay have been sh&t for sometime now. Why not throw him in and see what he can do.

from what I've seen of Mejbri in the reserves, Ralph will love his style of play and energy.

For sure, Rangnick talks about there being nothing greater than developing young players - Elanga looks ready to me, Diallo was to go on loan but he definately has that spark that fans love - Mejbri and the centre half who went to Derby and came back. was it Tengi? highly regarded defender.

Teden Mengi is the one. He needs to get out on loan in Jan into the championship.

Another one to keep an eye on which might be a surprise is Svidersky. High energy and puts the foot in.

Mejbri looks like a United player. Even in his brief cameo against Wolves last season he put his foot on the ball, looked to play forward and get forward himself.

Big talent there.

Mengi - that's the lad Caolan -thanks. Apparently very well thought of at UTD.

I hope we see the younguns come through and shine. As mentioned, mejbril, mengi, elanga etc but a kid I would like to see nurtured and given a chance, eventually is Hughill.
All in all it indicates that we are looking to change the structure as well as the the, hopefully, style of recent play. Time will tell but if he wants more dynamic full backs/ wing backs i hope we have a punt on aarons in Jan and he drops the underperformers.

Hannibal's biggest issue is his temper. If he can manage that he will be quite a player.
