So the rumours are that if Brendan Rodgers loses his job at Leicester then the current favourite for the job is Graham Potter.

This both intrigues and worries me. I think it would be interesting to see what Potter could do with a very good Leicester squad. But at the same time I think there is every chance he'd get them playing much better than ourselves and finish above us with them.

I think Potter could be there for 5 years win nothing and not finish as high as 5th in any if those 5 years.
He won't do as well at Leicester as Rodgers has done.

Brighton currently sit 4 points ahead of Leicester, albeit having played 2 games more.

If Potter can get the players buying into his ideas then he'd have far better players at Leicester than he has at Brighton, playing his style of football to a much higher standard than he currently has Brighton.

If you look at the team Potter tend to play for Brighton:

Sanchez, Veltman, Dunk, Webster, Lamptey, Bissouma, Gross, Cucurella, Lallana, Trossard and Maupay.

In a 3412 type shape more often than not.

At Leicester he'd have:

Schmeichel, Fofana, Evans, Soyuncu, Pereira, Ndidi, Tielemans, Justin, Maddison, Iheanacho and Vardy.

Plus options like Castagne, Bertrand and Thomas for the wing back positions, along with Barnes and Daka for the forward roles.

Literally the only players he has at Brighton who could challenge to make this Leicester side are Sanchez in goal, Dunk at CB if playing a back three, and possibly Bissouma in midfield. Great player but Ndidi and Tielemans are a great pair.

I think Potter would be a great appointment for Leicester and I think he'd have many people wondering whether we missed a trick with him.

Ken,

I think you are under estimating Potters ability as a manager. He plays very good football and his teams are very organised. He would excel at Leicester.

i think Potter pushes for top 4 with this leicester squad. With Pep adn Klopp potentially leaving english football in the next few years, we could see him place Leicester as firm top 4 candidates over the next 5 years.
It will be at our expense unfortunately.

{Ed0666's Note - you also have to take into account this Leicester team will be broken up a bit in the summer. I see a few of them leaving.

Ed0666, Tielemans seems to want to go and push for more regularly UCL football. But who else?

Also surely whether they want to go or not might be impacted by the manager.

If Tielemans leaves but is replaced by Bissouma say, would they be that much weaker?

{Ed0666's Note - I doubt Bissouma goes to Leicester so it’s a mute point. Maddison and Ndidi I’d say will be on their way sooner rather than later. Who knows they might stay but Leicester gives me a sinking ship vibe at the moment and If Rogers leaves for pastures new I think you’ll see a bit of an implosion at Leicester.
