I don't think we were magnificent but i don't understand some negativity. This was an average performance yet we created 3 goals. Yes we had 3 expected goals in this match, we had nearly 2 against Burnley and 4 against Boro. Its clearly a matter of putting the ball in the back of the net, yet only few criticise Ronaldo.
To put some perspective last year we had 5 expected goal and won 9-0. The difference is last year Soton weren't on form and played with 10 players-and then with 9.

But the short term view see only the results and say wow if you win. And then we can go on another cycle. Personally i am excited with i see. Its the only time in the last 5-6 years we look like a bit like a proactive team like the top dogs play

Herrera

Love the positivity, but look at the game. We dominated for 30 mins (again) and then our true colours came through.

Players are not fit enough, not putting enough effort in. They visibly stop working and running. After 30 mins you get the half hearted effort runs, the ones that look like you care but you are really only running 85%.

Has anyone noticed how Ronaldo and Rashford duck under every long ball instead of heading it? Drives me crazy.

Pogba played very well. Looked great in a midfield 2. Must be coming to the end of his contract or something?

It is like the team have gone to sleep, they need a rocket up them.

And every single goal scored against us, there is a shot of Ronny and Fernandes standing upfront gesturing at how crap the defense is. This squad is broke and I can't wait until this season is over and some of these mercenaries leave our club.

Dodgy all are true. But its also true that last 3-4 weeks we are seeing a much better and more proactive team. Ofcourse that not lasts more than 45 minutes, but why you are all forgetting that this is the start and we are far from perfect?
Three matches in a row with 60+ shoots and 10 expected goals but we only scored 3. Why don't you blame the forwards?
Today we wad 4 clear cut chances to zero and 3 expected goals. And that was not our best day and that's show how far we have gone.

I am blaming the forwards.

Just seen Ralf Hass Comments. Just let that sink in for a minute. He is a rival coach saying it is well known that utd don't bother to track back. Unbelievable. The minimum we as fans can expect is that the team put in maximum effort and work hard. And it is actually in both directions, they are not pushing hard enough going forwards either.

When you are not playing well and confidence is low, the minimum you should expect is a team to work hard, but at the moment a team with lesser talented players can turn up, out work our team and get their just rewards.
A new coach coming in has to look at this lot and think, a decent offer for any of them and they must go.

The players have shown time and time again that they don't care. The club chose not to bring in any new players in January. This isn't RR fault.

You can only p1$$ with the c0ck you've got.

Really surprised Utd didn't sign anybody in January but then again lots of people here (and Ralf himself) stated that Utd shouldn't be signing 3-4th choice targets if the first isn't available. It doesn't help us now though, a new DM could really have helped out.

Dodgy I don't say we ate perfect. What Hassenhutl says we all know is true but that's above the manager for the moment and not a quick fix. that's the reason i don't understand the comments about Ralf. Ralf playing his part and he is playing it really well.
