It has been reported that Harry Maguire's continued selection in Ralf Rangnick's starting line-up has been privately questioned by members of the Manchester United squad. What sort of disloyal players have we for such discussions to have reached the press? So much for unity and a common goal. Beware the enemy within.

Apparently Maguire has been calling people out for their mistakes costing us points. Though a captain should be doing this of course, it doesn't hold much weight coming from a captain who hasn't really delivered himself.

The club is a mess, the team is a mess and it will probably get a lot worse before it gets better.

It doesn't mean players have leaked it. any man with an eye can see he's terrible and stealing a living. How he is captain is beyond belief.

I think reading the newspapers doesn’t hold much weight. ‘City win again’ doesn’t sell newspapers, but ‘United in more internal turmoil’ has them lining up.

Yh Maguires been that god damn awful i'd be more disappointed if the players weren’t baffled by his continued selection despite being absolute pony.

Continued selection? He was left out in our last game so another load of rubbish spouted in the papers!

If Harry Maguire is calling out everyone for every single mistake then he's going to have spent a lot of time shouting at the mirror.

He's the single biggest reason for about 70% of the goal we concede.

100% the recent draws are probably more to do with our forwards not being clinical and passing up numerous good goal scoring chances.

Yet a Captain should first and foremost look after their own form, set the standard. Only then can you demand more from those around you.

Sundays lineup will be interesting. The Manchester Derby, where a manager will try and pick his strongest 11. Maguire is the captain, so benching him will be a big statement.

Personally, I hope Varane and Lindleof play as our cB pairing.

I think whether Maguire starts sunday will be down to whether RR reckons the Lindelof rightback experiment was a success or not. I hope not as he was forced into changing that system pretty quickly. He was poor and isn't a fullback. However he is (somewhat worryingly) our best defender atm so unless RR opts for a back three I can see Maguire being the one to miss out.
Love him or loathe him England were strong from freekicks at the Euros and Maguire was a big part of that, but Utd's stats in that department are shocking.
We've seen a few sides cause problems for City in the last few weeks alone. Southampton and Spurs had aggressive game-plans and gave them no time at all which is what we need to do. It looks like another McFred outing to pull this off so I wouldn't be surprised to see Pogba left out.

Spenno,

Maguire only looks good for England. The majority of England's opponents are championship standard. When he plays against good teams, he is found out quite easily, most of which is his undoing.

Apart from that, I doubt lindelof will start at RB as he will get skinned alive by Sterling or whoever plays LW.

I have no idea why I said that twice, hours apart.

Old age spenno?

To beat city you have to meet them with high intensity and win every personal battle across the pitch.

Unfortunately Foden, Bernardo and the the rest of their flare players have more competitiveness in their little fingers than most of our team. Hence we should not expect much at all tomorrow.
