He deserved a send off. Unfortunately Scholes ruined that for him. He should of known better than to leak stories out to the press. But in fairness to Jesse, he probably thought scholes would be smart enough not to drop his mate kn it like that.

Did Cavani deserve it ahead of Jesse? Probably not, no. But Jesse had a part in that. And to be fair, better play Cavani when he's available. Never know when he will be available again.

Why should Scholes not reveal his info? He is not a mate of Jesse's. Scholes did the right thing in exposing lingard for what he is.
He deserved no special send off.

Why do these players need a send off playing on the pitch? He has had a few run outs over the past month for the fans to see what he looks like on the pitch and has done nothing. If he had left after his loan at West Ham he would not have had any send off and his achievements listed by his brother are the same as nothing achieved this season.

Whether some of the players that played against Brentford were for sentimental reasons or to win the match (remember we did win) is debatable, Mata/ Matic played well and was a game that we were aiming to win in case the others slip up (especially with the Chelsea sale issue there could be an additional space to aim for) .

As some have already mentioned if Jesse has been one of the leaks then this will have not sat well with RR who has been vocal about this at the club and may have led to him not being included.
Either way the fans can say thank you with him walking round the pitch, the club have thanked him already by paying a wage and getting nothing in return.

Brad you make some good points. Some fans are overly sentimental. Same as the nonsense we had to listen to about ole. Some supporters have standards lower or in line with the players and coaches that have been at the club last few years.

Bang average player, seems like a bit of a c*ck and I’m very happy to lose him and his dance partner Pogback this summer.

He is welcome to take Greenwood, Maguire, Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Jones, Shaw, Pareira, Martial and Rashford with him, along with Matic, Cavani and Mata who are already on the way out.

None of the above will be missed in the slightest, even if replaced with some youngsters. Says a lot in my eyes.
