Apparently the supercomputer has predicted we will finish 6th again with 1 fewer points.

In other words we the fans should consider 5th or higher with 58+ points to be a successful season. Temper your expectations!

I heard it gave us less than a 1% chance of winning the league :D.

Sounds about right. Spurs and arsenal ahead of us as a team.

Spurs haven't massively improved and arsenal the same. We have some decent players at the club and some could be more than decent under a proper coach. First 3 games are vital and if we can win 2 and draw with Liverpool I think our confidence will grow. If you add in sesko and fdj then I think top 4 is achievable.

We look short of quality both in midfield and up top for goals to me. Top four would be a challenge beyond us in my opinion, with what we have. I don’t think we will just capitulate like we did against City or Liverpool but tight games against others need a goal scorer. We cannot rely on a 38 year old. As to the Vardy rumours, ridiculous.

Agree with redman. I think we need to get rid of ronaldo and not have another circus and distraction, and add a couple more signings in august. Ronaldo thing is complete bs and he should get booted. The additional signings is where we are lacking. Would like to see a right back, striker, holding cm signed.

Shawthing, I think 6th is about right as I've said all along. There's just under a month to save this poor transfer window. The players we bought in are OK, but we need a lot more especially in midfield, RB and up top.
The club should just release Ronaldo and concentrate on the job at hand.
Arsenal, spurs and Chelsea will all be much better than us, and our fight without further new signings will be with West Ham, Leicester, Aston villa and possibly Newcastle.
Roon, Spurs and Arsenal have massively invested and will be even better than last year. Spurs have a great attack with plenty of goals, we have Martial and Rashford, which will you pick, Martial and Rashford or Kane and Son?
It amazes me how some posters are totally oblivious and demeaning of other clubs. Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea were all better than us last year and have all invested, so why are we suddenly going to make up 15 points on last season with the current midfield and Martial and Rashford leading the line?
People need to get real.

Because we have a very good manager and a month left to bring in more players.

Attack, you guys keep going on about spurs massively investing. can you please name the player that stands out from the lot. All bang average. We obviously need quality signings in the squad. i bet you if it was Ole in charge you would hav seen all sort of faces in the team not needed by the manager. Let's mellow down and hav small faith in the process.

UwLuv

They finished 4th and one player, Bissouma the type of midfield player we cried out for and only circa £25m wasn’t it. Smart business that.

Chelsea improved? How? By selling their only real striker? By not replacing their CBs on time? By panicking and throwing out 50 mil on Cucurella? Jeez.

Spurs and Arsenal did sign some good players, but so did we. I don't see their signings being any better than ours, except for Jesus perhaps.

We do not need to beat top 6 teams consistently, but we do need to beat lower tier teams. We lost points against Burnley and similar teams, we just have to improve against that kind of opposition.
