Moyes - Glazers
Van Gaal - Glazers
Mourinho - Glazers
Solskjaer - Glazers
ETH - Glazers/ Radcliffe
Amorim - Glazers/ Radcliffe

There is one common denominator here and until fans recognise it and stop blaming the manager every failing, things will continue. Yes Amorim dropped a stinker last night and we'll all have our opinions on the line up but sadly it happens in football but Amorim and all the other managers are not the issue with this club.

My hope from yesterday now is that we are at rock bottom (other than being relegated which really should be unthinkable) and this HAS to be a wake up call. I always felt winning a trophy would be the catalyst to push on but it always seemed to justify the Glazers in the Glazers mind IMO. Now, change is needed, drastic change. I have my opinions on how that should be done but that's irrelevant, the powers in charge need to make big changes to the environment, structure, standards and expectations otherwise this cycle continues. And this change isn't just sacking another manager.

{Ed025's Note - the whole club is toxic at the moment Ports and of course that has to change, and if there was even one sign that Amorim could succeed...one green shoot then i could agree with you mate, but the fact is that there isn,t, not all these players are as crap as they are showing this season...and that has to be laid at the managers door im afraid..

I appreciate the glazers are leaches and have done nothing good for the club. But they aren’t the ones on the pitch that can’t run, pass or shoot.

Yeah I appreciate that Ed25. I'll always be pro the manager above everything else until players and leadership show me otherwise and I guess what's different now under Amorim is that players certainly do appear to be more willing to work unlike other players previously, Rashford, Sancho, Pogba, Lingard, Martial so therefore perhaps we should expect more from Amorim with this group. I just can't get away from the feeling that until the Glazers are fully gone and the club starts looking like and behaving like a Football Club, no manager will get the success we all want and if Amorim was to go, who next and what will they be enough to turn this around?

{Ed025's Note - i cant see the Glazers going anywhere anytime soon Ports, they have this cash cow that they are milking for all its worth so why would they give that up?, the whole structure has to change imo mate and that means not paying inflated prices and paying stupid wages on players, bring in a proper coach who can actually coach players even if they are not world beaters, sign proper players even if they are not household names and form a proper team ethic and togetherness, its not going to happen overnight of course but at will at least be a blueprint that can be worked upon, maybe im in dreamland but this signing of egotistical individuals does not seem to work so why not..

What about last season Ed? Who was at fault for them being poor then?

The manager?

I agree the managers make mistakes but poor decision making and lack of a brain when in certain situations is on the players.

Some things you can’t coach.

{Ed025's Note - but the definition of stupidity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result mate, why keep laying the likes of Onana, Hojland and Mount? we all know they are crap yet seem to get played on a regular basis, there are actually more i could add to that list im sure you would agree..

Who else is there to replace them? They are not much better

We can’t play obi and expect him to be great he’s a child, Zirkzee has been injured and isn’t an out and out striker

The back up keeper is just as poor as Onana.

Some players know they will play every week regardless because the quality we have to swap them with isn’t any better.

I agree there is loads more to add to the list.

It’s clear they are massively under performing and shouldn’t be anywhere near 17th but if you don’t apply yourself and work hard to get what you deserve.

Fallguy, I get that and that's part of the reason I have always supported the manager but regarding the Glazers, it's the standards and quality they have set within the club. They allowed Woodward far to much control for far to long. Harry Maguire for example should not have been on the pitch for Manchester United last night. I'm not digging him out with regards to performance but because he should have been sold last summer or the summer before but he's on a huge wage which he should never have been given. These mistakes have created a long term issue that shouldn't be there. They've allowed Old Trafford to fall apart. All these little things create big issues and set the tone of the club. You should be proud of where you go to work and proud of what you represent but we don't have that within the club anymore and players, managers and staff get sucked into the poor standards of the culture that's been set and accepted.

So why bother with a manager if everythings the Glazers fault Ports would they have got all the credits if wed won last night? The Glazers are poor owners but they back managers to the hilt with money and like a lot of the fans are bought in to the cult of manager letting him run riot with the cheque book amd listening to there pathetic excuses for failure its a get out of jail card for the gash players and manager blame the Glazers did they think Hoijlund was a baller or Onana or Martinez that's all on TH.

So to confirm Brum Boi, Moyes, LVG, Mourinho, Solskjaer, Rangnick, ETH and now Amorim are all poor managers?

Well Rangnick and Ole were poor that’s for sure, ETH no better but LVG and Jose are not bad but very good managers, Moyes neither here nor there.

But there is a huge problem at the club well above RA and SJR not blameless at all, in fact made it worse….

Well with that in mind German, if you take LVG and Mourinho as the 2 most creditable managers on the list, both have been rather damning of the club and the hierarchy. LVG even told ETH not to take the job and Jose said his biggest success was finishing 2nd with his United team. This alone tells you how hard they found working at United and we’re expecting “lesser” managers to be successful in this environment?!
