2 weeks later we still have people making this joke, dear lord.

I don't think we'll see united selling rooney. United's transfer policy has been similar to arsenal's in recent years in terms of signing players, but not selling.

the board won't risk becoming seen as a "feeder" club if it could threaten worldwide support levels. The value of the merchandising and sponsorship deals as we know from chevrolet, is very high and worth a lot more than transfer fee's. The united senior levels may also be prepared to use rooney as an example to players who might run down contracts. Moyes has already mentioned the need to keep rooney for "cover", suggesting united are prepared to put him on the bench.

Ah well. hit me with a new one!

Seriously though, I bet she's pushing for the London life.

I'm also uncertain that United will sell. I can't see him being used as a sub though, and allowing his contract to run down would be very costly. it would make better business sense to sell him & replace him with somebody who would hopefully earn their cash.
I'm pretty sure Moyes' comments have been used out of context. rather than suggesting he is cover for RVP isn't it possible that he meant Rooney would be played up top if RVP is injured?

She's more likely pushing for a move to Madrid, not far from Benidorm.

I don't even want to joke about the Terry family anymore. It's beyond funny, even though it's a rival's player. John has an affair with a teammate's wife, his brother has an affair with a teammates wife and the teammate committed suicide, and the father was just arrested for a racist crime. You just wish things like natural ability and the benefits of being a pro footballer would happen to better people/human beings.
