Nani involved in swap deal for Cavani?
Clearly to get rid of one world class duffer and recruit a star centre forward would be v positive. That said the £50m or so to secure the Uruguayan surely needs spending on some midfielders, a LB, CB and pacey winger first!

Yes we'd be getting a good striker but;

1) We already have 2.
2) We need to improve other areas as a matter of priority.
3) His arrival would surely mean Rooney dropping back to the 10 position which I don't think he is technically good enough for.
4) That would in turn force Mata out wide which would be criminal after his recent performances in the middle.
5) If reports are to be believed we are after Reus or someone for that wide position so with Rooney in the middle and Mata out wide, it would hold back Januzaj who needs games to better himself.

Long story short I think the arrival of Cavani, or any 1st team striker, would create more problems unless Rooney was sold (which isn't going to happen)

Well after watching him against Chelsea over two legs in the champions league, he did nothing in my eyes to warrant 50+million pound.maybe were he his asked to play by Lauren blanc of course may not show his true attacking prowess, but I don't think he is any better that what we already have?By that I mean Rooney and van persie, not Welbeck ie. the ice skating giraffe.

I don't see any sense in this deal, if it were to be true even in the first place.
I don't think Cavani is even worth £50m, talkless plus player!

Cavani has been used on the left hand side by Blanc. he obviously isn't going to be as affective as what he can be when he plays up front.
