It is as I thought. The impact of having a mid-table management team has effectively reduced our status fundamentally.

We have been rejected by Strootman, probably the same thing will happen with Thiago, and we will end up a bit like the Everton in whose glow we now bask.

No more fatuous responses of glasses half-full. This is the reality now. Allowing a flaked out ego like Ferguson (however much good he did) was a critical mistake.

And to think its only day 3 of the transfer window.

2.) 03 Jul 2013
Have we actually bid for Strootman?

Are you actually a United fan or just a total WUM? Every post is totally negative and defeatist. The season hasn't even started yet and you've managed to have a pop at just about everyone at the club including even Fergie now. Plastic fans like you should just go and support chelski or the rags down the road and revel in the glory of yet another £50 million pound signing. People like you make me sick, I bet you were there on your sofa jumping up and down when we got the trophy presented because god forbid you should ever actually go to a game and your small mind was filled with joy. not!
Criticism will come for Moyes no doubt, but only when its warranted, At least see what buys he makes and what sort of football we play before you spout your diatribe, But alas we will win the league by 20 points and you be on here moaning about how many more it would have been if XY or Z had signed. I don't know about glass is half empty, has there ever actually been anything in your glass!

Hey mate show a bit of respect to Everton it is fans like you that give the rest of your fans a bad name.

5.) 03 Jul 2013
My understanding was that PSV won't sell Strootman this summer as they don't want a mass clear out. I'm not sure how that constitutes him turning down United?

6.) 03 Jul 2013
Can you clarify when did Strootman reject us, Mr glass half-empty?

Also, you see into the future with regards Thiago? I am suitably impressed.

Christ, I thought I was on the Utd page, obviously ended up here on the abject misery town page.

Is this guy really one of you?

Had a bad day bro there there didums t'will all get better.
Read how many fans on here that don't want Strootman ( i'm one who does if we can't get Vidal) you really find it so strange that interest faded, over a few weeks now, under our new manager. Thiago I'm 95% sure will happen, a certain Mr. Hunter thinks so too and he knows a lil more than either you or I.

Our team is Man U TOP players will always come and if you are giving away glasses half-empty or half-full make mine a Glenmorangie thanks.

9.) 03 Jul 2013
It is entirely pathetic to regard criticism as lack of commitment. This demonstrates how fragile and threadbare your own level of support must be. The facts are the facts, and although Strootman's rejection may end up as being a good thing, the fact is that under the new management we could not attract him.

Let us see how we go. But it looks more and more as if we have made a catastrophic mistake.

For those mature enough to deal with the facts, this must be a matter of concern.

10.) 03 Jul 2013
Personally I'd wait for the transfer window to close before I criticise.

Otherwise it's like not even giving the manager the chance to fail.

11.) 03 Jul 2013
3 days in the job and its looking more and more like a bad mistake? What a loon.

12.) 03 Jul 2013
Blimey, 3 days into the job and Moyes is a catastrophic failure, doomed to drag the club down to unfathomable depths. 3 days into the transfer window and we aren't signing anyone. Ferguson a busted flush best forgotten and not to be missed.
Those long winter nights must just fly by in the Idlewild household. I'd give it all up now if I were you and head for the clinic in Switzerland, life will always be a disappointment for you.

13.) 03 Jul 2013
The 2 'facts' you stated were:

1) Moyes has effectively reduced our status
2) we have been rejected by Strootman

Can you in any way shape or form provide any relevant evidence to back your wild claims? (sorry facts!)

The rest is just negative crystal ball reading which goes to show your character IMO. Has Kloot changed his signoff? ; )

lads come on he's clearly not a united fan. Never seen him post before. And yes we've seen negative united fans post but not insulting the clubs most successful manager. Blatantly a scouser.

15.) 03 Jul 2013
You make a good point, if I had the choice to play for Moyes or mourinho loop guadiola ancelotti then I know Moyes will be my last choice.
I think a lot of the fans on here only see stuff thru rose tinted glasses. The fact is our midfield is very poor and will never challenge for cl. Simple as that. If people like Horay and strootman are taking two months to sign, then it doesn't vouch well for the future.

16.) 03 Jul 2013
Who dragged this guy on to the site. So you know we bid and he has rejected. For your information we have not made a bid and all this talk is people assuming he was a sure thing. They want 18 mill and we are only willing to pay 12 and that is why it ain't happening.

17.) 03 Jul 2013
Not sure if it's true or not but it was reported in a Dutch paper strootman had turned us down.
I think it's just paper talk to be honest

Could have kept that to yourself Jred, kind of spoils my post, lol. Can't say I believe that though.

95% of footballers would want to play for Manchester United. The other 5% are either fans of rival clubs, or lying.
