Ok so it's tenuous but. this is last season at United for RVP.

Anyone else heard LVG asked him to change to number 9 and RVP replied there's no point as he'll only be there a year!

Yes it is a chat down the pub from someone who knows the kit man etc but RVP looks unhappy. Has done for erm 18 months lol.

Would explain Falcao loan to buy if it's true.

Well let's face it, he is now 31, is hugely injury prone and hasn't played well since SAF left, therefore he wouldn't be hugely missed for me. He isn't the player we saw the season he signed, if he was, he would be the first name on the team sheet.

To be honest he hasn't looked right for quite a while, whether that because of injury or something else only time will tell.

If he does leave then i'll be sad to see him go. But as we are all aware atm we have too many attacking players and trying to fit them all in just unbalances the team.

If Falcao can fully recover his pre injury form then losing Robin won't be such a big loss, add to that LvG's preference for 433 then one striker is always likely to leave.

Where Rooney fits in this is interesting and LvG's recent comments about him being a better midfielder than a striker may shed some light on to his long term plans. Sir Alex thought Wayne was a midfielder long term, Moyes thought it too, and now LvG has been at the club for a few months and has come to the same conclusion. It seems only Rooney himself thinks he is a better striker than a midfielder.

But if we were to loss RvP and replace him with someone like Reus, then maybe a shift into a 433 type formation would be much easier with Di Maria, Falcao and Reus upfront with Herrera, Blind and Rooney in midfield.

I would be happy to sell RvP at the end of the season. His attitude aside from his first season (when he was coddled by SAF let's face it) has been shocking for a guy at his level of the game. Very disappointing.
