Just wondering if anybody knows what's happening with Chong?

It seemed as though he was going to leave due to lack of opportunities but then suddenly changed his mind and signed a new deal. One can only assume that he did this after being assured that he'd be given chances and yet in spite of us being able to make 5 subs now and having had our last 4 games wrapped up by the our mark, I don't recall him playing since signing the new deal.

If he's not injured, this doesn't send a good message to other young players worried about game time.

His agent said that they think the plan is for him to go out on loan next season. The club needs to find the right club for him, he needs to play every week in an attacking side at a good level.

Hope he does. He could be a great option for us on the right if he gets some serious game time.

Personally I think he might go the same way as Januzaj etc, well hyped at youth level but struggles to convert that to professional level.

I hope I'm wrong, but he just doesn't seem to have anything special about him when he has played with the seniors. Not particularly quick, or strong, not particularly clever movement, or a great shot. He's good at many things but nothing stands out.

I agree with shappy, hope he kicks on but I just don't see what the fuss is about. Nothing stands out to me but must be something the big wigs are seeing (other than his big wig) that I'm missing.

Maybe they found a load of unsold Fellaini wigs that need shifting.
