Too many people blaming Weghorst. We all know his limitations but people were nowhere near as vocal in his criticism when the team were doing well and he actually was a big part of that.

If some of the big overpaid so called stars put in half his effort we wouldn't have had results like Thursday. Can't blame him for defenders who play so poorly or midfielders who can't keep possession of the ball for more than a few seconds.

We’re lucky we have him because if not we’d be relying on that pathetic french man!
Roll on the summer and a new number 9 and we say bye bye to so many of the pretenders we’ve watched these last few years.

I don't see too many people blaming Weghorst recently. Plenty have said what is painfully obvious, that he just isn't at the level we need.

Yet the EL debacle seems to be being laid squarely at the feet of Maguire and DDG by the majority of the fan base.

Which is fair as they are the biggest culprits.

Without Maguire on the field we were winning that tie 2-0, once Maguire entered the fray we conceded 5 of frankly the most ridiculous goals I have seen. 2 own goals, a gift from Maguire and a gift from DDG as well as a poor set-piece goal.

Nobody can blame Weggy. It’s not his fault he was loaned to UTD. Not his fault that he is put on the park. Not his fault the service is lacking a great deal of the time.

And he gives 100% effort 100% of the time. And that is something that is lacking by a lot on the park.

Sure he is not the right player and is clearly out of his depth at this level but there are far more that should be in the sights.

@Chris1 Hopefully we get rid of Maguire, Lindelof, Mctomminay, Fred, Martial, Elanga, Sancho and Weggy, all need to go, I'd keep Wan Bissaka.

Imo, I think Lindelof should stay, he is good as a 4th CB choice. Also, I would keep one of Fred or McT, just for the depth (with McT scoring this much lately, perhaps Ten Hag found his best position) .
