That’s for sure, Trololo, I think we have just trod water if I’m honest, but managed to spend 150 million doing that, hopefully the new striker comes in and makes a huge difference in the approx 60 games he got to play, hopefully having a back problem at 20 is just a one off! It’s got to be!

We’re yet to see if we’ve improved the team. Onana is arguably better than de Gea, he’s certainly better with his distribution but he could still cost us points.
Mount looks like a square peg, who Ten Hag doesn’t quite know what to do with yet and Hojlund we have absolutely no idea about yet. Fingers crossed he takes to the PL and is a success.

We would’ve improved as a team, if by next may we’ve won more silverware and finished 2nd or 1st in the league.
As of yet, we have no idea whatsoever if we’ve improved. The opening 4 games kinda suggests not.

One other point Shappy if your now rating players after 3 games to be better then 1 who lasted 10 years that must work both ways in your view, so Rashford our highest scorer last season this season 3 games 0 goals and back to sulky ways, so are we ignoring that point so you can justify your little spill, that would seriously make us worse off would it not! Oh no we don’t rate him on 3 games it’s only ones you want to rate.

In his last game Rashford was involved in 3 goals when back in his normal position, looked much better there, and that was with Martial doing nothing up top, so would expect more from him once we have Hojlund up there.

But if we are now making judgements on a player after 3 games is a huge upgrade of one of 10 years to say the team is better we have to rate everyone like that so let’s look at some to see if in reality we better
Onana, jury should be out, but as it’s not, made mistakes against wolves and forest
Martinez one of our better players awful this season
Cas probably our classiest best player last season, looks a shadow this season
Mount looks like a fish up a tree
AWB probably most improved but still awful going forward and ball watches so got to make last ditch tackles
Antony, 0 goals 0 assist
Sancho, had time away come back just as poor
Rashford 0 goals and mentally weak, gets ask to do a job and body language shows he don’t want to do it, no matter what.
Martial, well is martial enough said
Pellestri comes on looks good does he get a proper chance Nope!
Eriksen legs look shot.
Bruno is probably 2nd best goal scorer in this team gets pushed wide to accommodate
Rasmus, we have no idea but ask yourself this would you not be laughing your head off if Klopp had no goal scorers and he spends majority of budget on a 20 year old never played in EPL let alone scored in it. and out injured before a ball even kicked and got no back up!
Midfield been over run in all 3 games against supposedly lower opposition, in fact argument two of them are relegation battlers!
And according to Shappy we are better off then last season that’s not even taking into account Chelsea must improve Arsenal have Liverpool will
So I’m sorry I don’t buy it for one minute however you want to dress it up

I don’t think Traffords a real United fan tbh. Most likely a rival fan coming here to troll and spread negativity. I mean he’s even now abusing our new striker and saying we should be laughing at the club for signing him when he hasn’t even kicked a ball yet. Not only this but he’s blatantly lying in his posts, saying the midfield got overrun against Forrest is a complete and total lie, we dominated that game outside the first 5 minutes. Bruno hasn’t been pushed out wide to accommodate anyone this season either. He’s outright lying to push his negativity. No real United fan would be doing that.

Trafford, what makes you think my opinion on Onana is based on three games?

Are you aware that he has been playing professional football for over seven years and has over 200 appearances for club and country?

How he was instrumental in helping Inter Milan to the UCL final last season, or how before the final it was Andre Onana who Pep picked out as Inter's most important player?

I've watched Onana play for Ajax, Inter and Cameroon not just Manchester United. It seems like you have a very limited scope when it comes to football, maybe try watching some other teams as well.

Personally I don't see much debate for whether Onana is an upgrade on DDG. Yes, DDG was first choice for 10 years but that's irrelevant in the discussion about whether Onana is a better keeper this season than DDG would be. I think some fans remember a player like DDG at his peak and not the player he is now. It is the current player Onana is replacing not DDG at his peak.

Based on last season's form Onana outperformed DDG in EVERY single individual goalkeeping statistic.

He faced more shots and still saved a higher percentage showing that he actually was a better shot stopper than DDG last season.

If you go in for xG stats Onana had a better post shot XG stat than DDG last season. By a large margin.

He stopped more crosses, made more passes with a higher success rate and he made more defensive actions outside of his box (sweeping) .

While there are other aspects that cannot be measured statistically, such as communication which is vital for a defence. I've heard Onana talking/ shouting instructions more to his defenders in those 3 games than I heard DDG do in over 10 years. During the C.V. when stadiums were empty and silent you still couldn't hear DDG. That's how quiet he is.

Finally do you think if Onana had been available on a free transfer for the past two months that he'd still be without a club? Absolutely not, he'd have his pick of most of Europe's top club's, because they rate him as a top keeper and value him as a potentially great signing if they could bring him in. Yet here we are on transfer deadline day and still no club has seriously entertained signing DDG. That highlights how the rest of the top clubs in Europe rate DDG on his current ability.

So yes, I do believe Onana is an upgrade on DDG, and I've not seen a single argument against that which holds any sort of clout. But I'm all ears to hear your argument against it, hopefully you have something better than the drivel you've said so far ?.

Trafford you’re on every single post spreading negativity. Even on the post discussing the champions league draw you’re there saying we shouldn't have sold Fred so cheap and that he would be the best player on the pitch if he played against us, you don’t even know who he actually signed for. You’ve made a list of our entire squad slating each and every one of them. You’re elsewhere trolling the new keeper talking about him getting chipped and how he’s a terrible signing. You’re slagging off the new striker before he’s even kicked a ball. Seriously it’s just trolling at this point.

He’s back from injury and training Spenno whether he makes the bench I’m not sure, I’d guess he’d be ready for the bench even if it’s just for a couple of minutes cameo but I couldn’t say for certain. Fingers crossed as I’m honestly excited to see him now. I think he’s going to be a real handful for defenders, and change the look of the entire frontline.

GTS, yep same here, going to live by the saying “don’t feed the trolls” from now on lol. I remember Maze, I think he was one of the reasons I stopped coming to the site years ago. I am not sure how it’s etiquette to call what other people write is Drivel, when some of the stuff you come out with. Thanks for all the stats that relate to absolutely zero in the EPL, let’s look at DVB stats again, whilst he was in Dutch league and compare them to Stats in the EPL shall we, no it’s pointless exercise and means absolutely nothing, plus I have never said he not better/ is better/ not better I said it’s too early to make such a call! I remember how well Fabian Batzhez done at united he had great stats too when he arrived and was good with his feet, Juan Veron stats were also of the charts, not so much once he arrived, it’s pointless exercise trying to offer an incomparable argument.
You have your view and opinion I have mine and others have there’s but grow up a bit and don’t take it so personally when someone questions what you have written or don’t agree with it, it’s everyone’s prerogative if you write on a public forum, to challenge or debate it, but don’t expect everyone to pat you on the back and say well done.

You say that I shouldn't get upset over other people having an opinion then write that because I expressed that in my opinion what you had written was "drivel". You do know what a hypocrite is don't you? ?

I can assure you I've never been upset by someone having a differing opinion to me, or for that matter when people have a pop at me. Far too grown up for that. I do enjoy the banter and as such I come on here in hope of some good banter. That typically requires engaging with people who have an opposing viewpoint or opinion.

You do seem to be easily triggered, which makes your consistent attempts at spouting nonsensical negativity humourous as you will always meet opposition when you air views like that. It's like you are setting yourself up to face the thing you can't handle.

Your constant fear of getting banned seems to suggest that you have been banned before. While the fact that you seem to think it will be because you are "standing up" to me suggests that it was probably for a reply to one of my posts.

I'd be surprised if you were banned for anything that was posted there. But then I don't get to see what other posts you send in that the editors decide is inappropriate, and such they don't make the page.
