Quick question:

Would you rather over pay on Antony by 40m or pay De Jong the 14+m he is owed as an additional signing bonus.

For me I'd prefer to see us finally have a fixed midfield of Casemiro De Jong and Fernandez/ Erikson then bring in Antony for 100m.

Once again it's the old 'it's not my money so why should I care' perspective.
But I see no reason why we should pay this wage thing. Clubs are taking the p*ss now, they can see us coming a mile off.
I haven't seen an awful amount of Antony. He's a box of tricks, many of which won't wash against better fullbacks. I see no reason for him to have justified this price tag - even when the great Ajax side was broken up a few seasons ago, none of them approached this figure. However the side is crying out for a tricky player who can take risks. I just feel we could be buying two very solid players with that.

I’m not an ETH, don’t think he should have actually got the job, and been a very underwhelming start, and not a great buy in Martinez, BUT I am really pleased to see he seems to have learned from the first two games which clearly shocked him, what’s needed for the premier and gone and got a DM in Casermiro.

Hopefully he also learned enough to see that Anthony might not suit the premier, but by all means give him a go if ETH thinks he can get something from him but only if he ships out Sancho or Rashford both who actually gone backwards.

I don’t get the FDJ chase, but then again I don’t get the usual suspects on here who keep popping up with Random names! Half of them unobtainable, someone keeps banging on about Teilimans Jesus if ETH wanted him he may have already done that deal, clearly he don’t impress ETH so give it a rest along with the fandoms you keep spouting about and even stating how much they should be, it’s like a broken record.

Closing in on the last week of the transfer window and people are still pretending that the only thing preventing the FDJ is the £14m he’s owed.

Levels of delusion through the roof. The player simply does not want to leave one of the best sides in Spain for a team that looks like it could be fighting a relegation battle if something doesn’t change.

Would rather bring in a midfielder SMS, and Maximin (he's wanted out of Newcastle and absolutely tore City to shreds) . Maximin is a very unpredictable player and can win matches on his own. I doubt he'll cost half what Ajax want for Antony.
I've seen Antony play and I'm not sure he'll find it easy in the PL.
He is not a direct type winger, Maximin on the other hand, loves running at defences. If I was United, I'll be doing all I can to bring SMS and Maximin in.
