As much as I wouldn't like Chelsea to take him, if the price is true, take the cash and run quickly.And then use the funds to sign a quality winger and up the bid for Fellaini and Baines.

Selling Rooney would be insane. It would weaken our side and give Cheslea a highly motivated PL winning striker who would spend the next 12 months trying to shove it up us.

As for signing anybody - as we can't even sign a left back from down the East Lancs, I doubt very much Mr. Woodward is going to deliver much at all.

I don't think DM will sell Rooney to Chelsea even at that price. Not enough quality in the market to replace Rooney.

It would be a big mistake if we sell rooney to chelsea. To be complete they only need a great striker and that's why mourinho wants him and he's not going to desist until the last minute of the transfer window.

Chelsea fan in peace rooney doesn't want to be at united quite clearly didn't even celebrate when u scored. what's happened fergie in charge he would have been gone, know ones bigger than the club so everyone says times have changed at united your struggling to attract players ( no you want like that but its true) that's why you won't let him go will never give 100% for you again like anyone else if you don't enjoy what your doing you never give 100%. 47million for an unhappy player whos asked to leave acouple of times i'd snatch romans hand off.

ESPN prioritizes soccer/football somewhere at the bottom of their list. They only cover the NBA, the Yankees and Red Sox, and some NFL teams. To them, Ice Hockey, Cycling, Golf, and Football/soccer exist about once a year. They would not be the proper source to cite.

That Marca rag is pathetic as well, somewhere down in the same realm as The Daily Mail, just below in accuracy to the Weekly World News or the Globe. Bat Boy is not real, but Wayne Rooney isn't playing for Chelsea this season either.

Chelsea fan, if you noticed, no body here cares about how Rooney feels. We know how to handle big egos. We know how to handle big disgruntled egos too.

It's not about whether an unhappy player is worth keeping or not. It's only about whether you should sell a great player to your direct rival or not.

I think wayne knows nobody is coming in and the clubs promise of signing bigtime players ain't happening and it's time for him to move to an ambitious club!We've been linked to everyone this window and as usual we've put offers in way below market valuation with no chance of signing them.I think woodward and moyes are the perfect yes men for the glazers, both in positions they shouldn't be in and both happy to toe the line in making the glazers richer.

He split the drinking brigade up sold Mcgrath and Whiteside
When Kanchelskis started his nonsense he was sold
Japp Stam Ince Beckham Keane all were sold because they were causing problems same with Yorke and Cole sold.
Now why did he do this??
All great players yes and ones we could not afford to lose.
But no one is bigger than United and that is why we have been so successful for such a long time.

47Mil Euro = 40M GBP, You have to think there is no way Rooney will be sold for this price and certainly not to Cheski. I can only see this happening is the 40mil was used to bring in Bale/Ronaldo signing which we all know won't happen (as much as I wish it would) Elmo

It's ok saying sell him but for 47 million pounds that money has to be reinveseted and a similar player of Rooney's quality has to be brought in. No matter what you say Welbeck will not score you 20 goals a season and Hernandez isn't a starter for me, more of an impact player coming off the bench.
And I still wouldn't sell that arrogant tw&t Mourinho anything, I can't bear the sight of him.

If someone made a 47m offer for Rooney he would be on his way the problem is Chelsea have only bid 30m and that is not enough when you consider his market value we would sell to even a direct rival bar city so if a good offer did come in 40m plus I expect him to be sold anything less we may as well wait till next year and sell on the cheap, I really do think Chelsea will make a bid of the right amount and we will take it United are no fools like some on here have you think, we don't even need to buy a direct replacement a world class winger with a goal threat will do, I KNOW a lot don't rate Wellbeck but I know he his becoming a top player not all strikers are clinical goal scores early on some need to progress slowly into the player they can be I think Danny can be as good as any we have had including RvP and Ruud remember what a 22 old Shearer or Drogba and RvP was like they were not prolific but ended up being as good as ya get so in my opinion we have a world class striker in the making. If Chelsea are seriously after Rooney, they should offer us Mata and 10 million or Lukuku and 20 million. Failing that P*** O** Jose. Us getting Mata and Chelsea getting Rooney would leave each team to claim bragging rights. Short of us getting an equally important player, (looking at our MF Mata would be great for us)we just shouldn't sell to one of our big rivals.
