Another day in the life of the MU transfer window but these names continue to crop up, however, realism tells me Rabiot, Mount and Hoijlund in, then Onana if DDG leaves and one of Disasi/ Todibo if Maguire leaves, other sales hopefully happen too, I think the likes of Kane, Oshimen, Caceido and Rice aren't in our reach this summer, perhaps a deal can be done for Caceido or maybe Kane if he requests a move but the CF is critical and possibly GK situation too to be messing around.

I can't see anything happening until the sale of the club is resolved personally. However I do expect to hear something this week with the AGM scheduled for Wednesday. And I think tomorrow they report the results for the third quarter fiscal 2023 period from end of March.

But moving on from this, the most important transfer for me is the Mount transfer, not for the player themselves but for how United deal with the situation with Chelsea. If they cave in and offer Chelsea what they want, I think this will set the precedent for all remaining transfers once again. Atlanta have already tried their luck with their valuation of Hoijlund.

I also think Rabiot will stay at Juventus so with this in mind, I'd go for Lavia from Southampton who I would imagine will be fairly cheap in today's market compared to others. Lavia, Mount, Onana/ Costa and Hoijlund would be a decent summer for us IMO. I'm not convinced we are fully in for a CB either as I can see ETH liking Shaw playing there so maybe this is why there are rumours about the Inter LB, Dimarco?

Can't see us signing Hoijlund, Atalanta want far too much for a player who is still a prospect, far from the finished article.

They seem to want to start a bidding war amongst the interested clubs which given our stance on Mount, I don't see us getting involved in.

Ed 02. Do Utd always have to disclose transfer fees paid (for example to satisfy stock exchange rules) or can they agree with the selling club for a fee to remain undisclosed for a certain period. If the latter is possible it would mean that other clubs would not be able to use that to decide what they want to charge us for their players.

{Ed002's Note - All transfers have to be recorded on the TMS - it is nothing to do with Stock Market rules.}

Ports, the Mount result may depend on how badly ETH tells the board to push for him. If he is adamant about getting him, he may give in. If not we move on to other targets. And I like your idea of Lavia a lot. So much talent for a young player.

Zidaniel, that's the point though, ETH maybe adamant about getting him but that can still be achieved without bending over to Chelsea's demands. We're in a strong position, last year of his contract, won't renew, apparently made it clear wants to sign for United, we need to be stronger and better in transfers otherwise with other clubs, Atlanta and Hoijlund for example it's just rinse and repeat.

Whoever we buy I bet we will pay top dollar and that will be after missing out on lots of targets. We just don't seem to be able to operate in a quiet efficient way with transfers.

Maybe we need a few women negotiating the transfers! Us chaps are renowned for only being able to do one thing at a time aren't we, I guess until the Mount thing is resolved we won't move on.
Meanwhile Chelsea are able to simultaneously buy and sell about 20 players in the same time period.

You can cross Rabiot off the list, he's signed an extension with Juve.

Always united transfers in the news because we get clicks.

Looks like we dismissed Rabiot's wage demands and sign on bonus. Either there is a great co-ordinated plan going on behind the scenes or its helter skelter as usual.

DDG situation is a mystery and looks like a new goalie is definitely coming in. I expect some surprises through out this window.

The club clearly has a different opinion on valuation of strikers available if you discount Kane. Going by what's being reported on pricing of these guys, we are yet to make a bid or maybe we have and it has not been accepted.
