Reports coming in fresh from North London, Micky Van de Ven has been officially approached by Manchester United. Offers including a 30 million + Luke Shaw have emerged. While Tottenham's transfer director has denied such claims, reports emerge that Van de Ven is open for the move.

Can't believe this. Vdv was their best defender a lot of the past two years, and is still young and maturing. Also, with nobody signed as back up to Shaw, let alone as first choice, this seems even more unlikely.

I think Spurs is looking an interesting place to be atm with the new manager and seemingly a willingness to splash some serious cash this window. I assume their aim is a CL spot.
Controversially, I reckon they'll finish higher than us next season...
