Very good list but have to disagree with luiz to be honest in my opinion. He is a good defender but his positioning is woeful. Sadly its the only thing holding him back from being one of the best defenders.
He has been amazing this season no doubt but conte is playing to luiz's strengths with 3 at the back. Put him in a 2 man pairing and he struggles.
You can say if you play to his strengths (3 men at the back) then he is one of the best but for me if you can't be top in a basic 2 man cb pairing then you are not worthy enough to be included in my top list of centre backs.

Just my opinion :)

For me the issue is that all defenders have weak points and it depends who they play with and how the tactical set up helps cover those weaknesses while making the most of their strengths.

Boeteng should be on this list for me.

Who would they be ed1; that were good but you haven't been able to catch much of though? Also no mention of Pepe ed?

{Ed001's Note - if I knew that they would be in the list! ;-) I was meaning mostly players such as Sokratis, Umtiti, de Vrij and a few others that are highly rated but I have not seen play much.

Pepe is good but not quite at this level, for a similar reason to Ramos - too prone to stupidity on the pitch.}

Ed's i hope it is ok to critique these kind of lists. I know a lot of work goes into this, so for us to casually point out negatives can be hard to take. Looking forward to more of these lists.
