First post in a long while:
Some real positives from the game, it looks like we may have a collection of players up for the battle amongst the defenders for the first time in a while. Martinez and Malacia on the left side are athletic, scrappy players who don't lay off attackers, and also have the quickness to recover when beaten. On the right side, Varane had his best game yet, and so did Dalot defensively. Add Casemiro in the mix, and we could be much improved defensively.

Attacking wise, it was hard to watch at times, with Bruno's wastefulness and diving, and Rashford's lack of awareness of when to hold onto the ball for a moment. I remember screaming at Bruno for trying yet another Hollywood pass in the final minutes when all we had to do was hold onto the ball.

The first goal was brilliant and not just for Sancho's cool finish and exposure of Van Dijk for the passive defender that he is (how I enjoyed Milner rightfully screaming at him afterward) . Martinez and Eriksen played first time passes to break through the Liverpool defense.

Rash finish was also excellent, it looks easy, it isn't. His shot just over the bar was also a decent run and effort. if he gets his confidence back and scores goals, it solves a lot of concerns.

Martial looked much better than we have seen in previous seasons. On as a sub and looked lively against one of the best defenders around. Good assist for rash. He seems to have an assist or 2 in him, combines well with rash and sancho.

Mctominay did well. He has that bit of fire inside him that harks back to some utd greats. His quality on the ball is lacking, but he can play a good pass or 3 in a match. Interesting to see what EtH makes of him with a lot of work. In big games like this against Liverpool, he is always worth a shot. He also improved us last week when he came on, after being woeful the week before.

Couldn't believe the performance from Dalot. He put a shift in, but not enough going forward from either full backs.

Varane martinez looks good, DDG was dialed in.

Fernandes with the arm band is different player. He did a lot of good, both with and without the ball to go along with the usual histrionics.

I thought everyone made a real contribution. My only peeve us Bruno falling over clutching something so often. He needs to grow up.

I was fed up of Bruno aswell. I've always disliked Salah for his theatrics, but Bruno takes it to the next level.

I'm still buzzing after last night. Hopefully it wasn't a one off performance and we get to enjoy watching Utd week in, week out.
