Hello Ed is it true that United have opened discussions with Spurs for Kane?

{Ed002's Note - I don’t think there have been any discussions yet.}

Thank you Ed. Are you aware of whether or not Kane would be interested in moving to United?

{Ed002's Note - He will be considering all options.}

If you were in charge, who would you sign for United for the CF position?

{Ed002's Note - Ramos over Kane because of his age.}

Good Morning ED002

Any any truth to the kolo Muani rumours and is he one of our top choices and your opinion of him.

{Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed.}

What about Osimhen? he’s young as well! Or is the process of acquiring him from ADL just too painful.

Ramos makes a lot of sense for how EtH has typically set his teams up.

I'm not sold on Osimhen at all. His injury record, lack of team play, and the concern that very few strikers have come from Serie A and maintained a similar scoring record in the EPL for me makes him a gamble, a very expensive gamble.

He just doesn't suit how EtH typically plays with a striker.

He has typically used one of two types of striker, either a hard pressing line leading striker who has excellent hold up play and can bring others into the game. Or he plays with a false 9 type striker who drops deep and helps with chance creation.

Osimhen does not fit as either striker, he definitely isn't a false 9 drop, drop deep kind of forward. While his poor hold up and link play, along with his average pressing and defensive contribution mean that he doesn't fit the type of line leading striker EtH has previously used.

He's effectively Michael Owen but nearly a foot taller. All he's worried about is scoring and making runs to get himself into scoring positions. Out of possession he's practically a passenger. Offering limited defensive work. While his height and strength are deceptive in the way that you'd expect him to be very good with his back to goal. Yet much like Lukaku he is average at best when asked to play with his back to goal, gold off a defender and bring his teammates into the game.

He's fairly one dimensional, an off the shoulder run in behind striker, with decent (but not amazing) aerial ability when attacking set-pieces (unlike Shearer or Drogba who would regularly defend well at set-pieces as well as being an attacking threat from them) .

Considering he'll cost over 100m he just isn't worth it.

I don't know much about Ramos, but I would totally agree on your Osimhen assesment Shappy.

Tho you know I would love to see Kane joining us :D.

Ed002 do we still hold an interest Ramos. I know in the past we have.

And is there a preffered target for striker?

{Ed002's Note - Gonçalo Ramos (F/AM) One of two players Roma enquired after with Benfica. Nottingham Forest have made a bid in the summer. Interest of Newcastle and perhaps Leeds to do the same. Southampton have asked about his availability and Wolves had a loan request rejected. Manchester United and PSG sent scouts and may look again after a good start to the season and a good World Cup - could end up as first choice for Manchester United. Don't rule out a bid from Chelsea but he is not first choice and at €120M not one to make a mistake with. A very well liked youngster but the cost will be huge with Benfica requiring his buy out clause to be paid in a single payment.}
