Ed001, noticed extra adverts.

Respect for doing all you can to keep the site free for us/avoiding subscription.

(And huge thanks to all other Eds who make this site possible)

{Ed001's Note - I would prefer to have less adverts though to be honest! Shame sponsorship is less prevalent on websites these days, that would be much better than lots of ads. Or we could use the extra money to employ full time eds, instead of volunteers, not sure which would be the best way to go?}

I'll just keep doing my bit and visit as often as I can! Love the site

Download ADBLOCK for your browser. It's free and cuts out all unwanted Ads.

The Eds get their advertising benefits and can keep running the best site around and we can avoid all the nuisance Ads and pop ups.

win Win!!!

Im fairly certain that adblock does affect the revenue of the page, so if you do have it, do as I do and pause it on pages like this who probably need the revenue.

If you do get any surplus cash, maybe approve a few extra expense claims for the volunteer Eds, plus keep developing new technologies to promote interactivity, or maybe get hold of match day tickets for the best/consistent/knowledgeable poster?!

also, surely you could get some regulat sponsors to populate the banner heading - what about the clubs themselves! MUTV/Chelsea/Liverpool TV etc! If you do get extra staff, they could then put the hours in on the phone!

To be honest, I wouldn't blame you for taking a higher salary - sifting through thousands of posts everyday - and sorting them into different sites/sending them to different Eds for replies - can't be easy!

{Ed001's Note - we have been trying to get regular sponsors for the banners for years, it used to be easy at one time, these days companies all have advertising agencies that want to prove their worth. They don't want to do the simple things, they want to use complicated stuff like Adsense, as the companies they represent don't want to spend the time figuring that kind of thing out.

As for the higher salary, it would be nice, but investing as much into the sites as possible is the key to keeping them going.}

I also think regular posters on here would willingly help you guys out Ed in terms of sorting out posts etc if needed. I know I for one like many others have plenty of free time on our hands so if you ever need any help just ask mate.

{Ed001's Note - to be honest sorting them out isn't really the issue, Ed033's set up tech to do all that kind of thing for us. The major problem we have is getting the quiet sites going, the ones we set up that people requested, so they actually work to help us, rather than just drain time and money from us. The rugby sites and others, those just need content provided to get conversation started and running long term. Now we have spam filters in place, which pick out most of the junk before we editors have to deal with it, it is only during transfer windows we are stretched now. Even then, it is only really the last couple of days or when a particularly exciting transfer takes place. There is not really enough to do to need any extra editors at the moment.}

I see mate. I cannot really help too much in regards to things like the rugby sites as I have literally little to no interest in those types of sports. For what it's worth mate you guys do a top job!

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate. I struggle with things like rugby, it is not my interest either, but every so often I just try and add some posts to try and get some content for Google to find.}
