Just want to share my two cents about Sanchez and how it impacted our season and see what you guys think.

When we signed him, I wasn't exactly over the moon, like you'd usually be when you sign a big player in the league. He wasn't what we needed at all, nor did it address any of the problems we have seen all season. It made us even more unbalanced and disrupted how we were playing. Around late Dec/ early Jan, we had a pretty settled 11 and were doing okay. I said at the time how it was a more "look what we can do" signing, rather than a properly planned one (over City) . Now this isn't a dig at him or anything, but to me he just doesn't seem a good fit and I'm not sure if we will ever see the best of him (hope I'm wrong) . We desperately needed a RW more at the time (still do) and would of been way more beneficial to our season to sign someone like a Mahrez for example. It's just so frustrating because it's so obvious what we have needed all year and how it's turned out.

The balance in our team has cost us this season and probably impacted how we play in general, so I just hope Mourinho going forward, addresses what we actually need, otherwise this time next year will be even more negative than it already is.

{Ed004's Note - My concern with Sanchez is that I don't know if his poor form is down to not being used to our tactics and just him needing a preseason and bit of time to gel. If we can get him to his best there's very few players around better in his position. However, I'm worried we have seen the best of Sanchez. I can't really tell but he seems like he's lost a yard of pace and I'm worried we are going to see a Rooney like decline}

'It's always on mind mind', how much it 'all shook up' Martial's season. Maybe we should 'Return to Sender', got a feeling 'it's now or never'. Or simply Sanchez just needs a 'Big Hunk O'Love', but I don't think he'll get it from the 'Devil in Disguise".

Also yer completely agree Ed, thought that too tbf. He's been playing non stop for years, so wouldn't be surprised if he is burnt out and he doesn't look at quick as he used to be. Just hope he does rediscover his form, because as we all have seen, he can be absolutely lethal.

{Ed004's Note - I'm hoping he's just burn out and needs a nice rest over preseason. I'm worried tho that he's losing his athleticism that made him a pain to deal with}
