Everyone seen what Pep has just said about Raiola, Pogba and Mkhi?

Elvis

{Ed002's Note - I told you Pogba was being offered to other clubs.}

1.) 06 Apr 2018 20:22:19
Cant get my head around this. Completely ambivalent about Pogba leaving, but my malaise is how United look more and more stupid in each passing transfer window.

2.) 06 Apr 2018 20:47:41
Say what 😆😆 Didn't Harry Redknapp sign them two for QPR Ambivalent and Malaise 😆😆.

3.) 06 Apr 2018 20:52:50
Pogba can go if he wants he hasn't really been moving trees at our club.

There are tons of talented players out there.

4.) 06 Apr 2018 20:56:46
Lovely timing to come out an say that. Another dirty trick by that dirty cheat.

{Ed025's Note - mind games mort, you had the best in the business with SAF and jose is not far behind....so dirty cheat may be a bit stones and glass houses mate..

5.) 06 Apr 2018 18:08:25
just shows how much an agent runs a players carer.

obviously pogba doesn't want to be here, so sell him if that is the case.

{Ed002's Note - it is rather more the norm than you think. It is nothing more than MU be8ng offered Bale.}

6.) 06 Apr 2018 18:12:06
although from pogbas social media activity he seems to have no clue about it.

ed would an agent offer a player around without first making him aware?

{Ed002's Note - perhaps, but Pogba knows what is happening.}

7.) 06 Apr 2018 18:27:54
It just proves that the players and agents live in cloud cuckoo land. The star player couldn’t handle being dropped because he believes he is world class and needs his pathetic ego massaging. Riola sees another payday. Hate how the game has gone.

{Ed002's Note - it is more a case of “this is how it is.” Players are transient. If a player is struggling then other options will be looked at.}

8.) 06 Apr 2018 18:37:56
Ed002-its just as well pogba came to united for no other reason than his desire to play for the club, and not for the money and the fact that he gets more flex over here to indulge that cheeky youthful rascal that he is!

{Ed002's Note - The Pogba deal to go elsewhere - two other interested side- took the MU route over fees and total price to the club. MU were naive, the others were not.}

9.) 06 Apr 2018 19:44:32
Any takers Ed?

Also is Pogba happy or looking to move? Personally I don’t think he’s suited to either Man Utd under JM or the EPL. SMS may be a decent replacement.

{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer if he is happy or not.}

10.) 06 Apr 2018 21:48:51
Ed, is that by the agent or the club though? Surely that is a breach of some sort no? I guess this will rumble on now throughout the summer. Shame if we lose him, such a mess as usual.

{Ed002's Note - No, it is what agents do, how clubs buy players.}

11.) 06 Apr 2018 23:13:26
Let's hope it backfires on pep.

12.) 06 Apr 2018 23:41:59
Fair enough Ed. How do you see it panning out?

{Ed002's Note - A good question. Not sure anyone would take him at the asking price.)

13.) 06 Apr 2018 21:48:47
Ed025. if it's a lie by Pep then I'm not sure SAF ever stooped quite this low. If its the truth then he's entitled to do so isn't he?

{Ed025's Note - all is fair in love, war and football they say timbo, i remember fergie almost giving keegan a nervous breakdown with mind games mate..

14.) 07 Apr 2018 08:04:55
I don't think it is any surprise to be honest. Would people like shot or Jose to stick with the player .

Pogba was Jose star buy.

15.) 07 Apr 2018 08:12:00
I can see him being offered around but not to that lot. Sanchez has changed things for him at Utd. Pogba needs to be in the attacking mid role linking up with Lukaku but Jose sticks Sanchez there instead of putting him on the left or right. Maybe today he will answer Pepsi by grabbing the winner 😆😆.

16.) 07 Apr 2018 00:20:51
Just out of interest what's the asking price please Ed?

{Ed002's Note - The figure is unrelated to what Manchester United would receive from any transfer - it is rather higher. It is no different from the deal Manchester United signed up to when the two other interested sides would not go near the deal Mino was demanding.}

17.) 07 Apr 2018 10:15:30
Its what some agents do- people with no talent, pushing talent, to make lots of money.
Ed002- if you could please; is there anything in the pipeline with EPL, FA or UEFA etc etc to try and control agents within a regulatory body or the like?

{Ed002's Note - I think you are over generalising. There are already significant regulations in place. I am not sure what problem you see with the process.}

18.) 07 Apr 2018 19:47:45
Should have taken that deal pep, wouldn't have come to bite you back today.

07 Mar 2018 21:47:00
Ed, hope you don't mind me asking, a while ago you suggested that Milinkovic Savic was a primary target for United, just wondering if this is still the case? Thanks in advance.

Elvis

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

1.) 07 Mar 2018 23:23:09
Ed 001 isn't his agent ( name escapes me) a fomer player for jose at chelsea. Striker i think. Maybe that will help😂😂😂.

{Ed001's Note - Kezman yes.}

2.) 08 Mar 2018 19:15:47
Thats the chap ed001 thanks. I'm not sure if his relationship with jose is an advantage or not.
Ive watched him a lot this season ed. He is strong and very technically gifted he makes great runs off the ball and arrives at the right time to score goals a bit like lampard. His attitude is great he looks pretty unflappable and he doesn't get embroiled in a lot of the nonsense you see like eolling around or diving or chasing the ref. Passing range is great and reads the game like a seasoned pro.
Looks a bit one paced at times and with matic and pogba also not that quick that would concern me a little. But someone is going to get a great player. Madrid or ourselves probably.

{Ed001's Note - he is very good ken, one of the best prospects around. Scholes was one-paced, never stopped him being a great player. The first few yards are in the head as they say.}

3.) 09 Mar 2018 07:33:22
I agree with that ed but having all 3 in midfield without a turn of pace is not ideal.

{Ed001's Note - shouldn't matter if they are good enough mate. Barca's trio have never had a turn of pace in there.}

4.) 09 Mar 2018 12:21:13
How did his brother leave us Ed, was it amicably or otherwise? That might have some impact on wether he would join or not.

{Ed001's Note - amicably and speaks highly of the club in public at least.}

5.) 09 Mar 2018 12:58:22
thanks ed.

31 Jan 2018 13:24:07
Hope Ed doesn't mind me relaying this info, but on the European page, ED2 has said we are in for Jorginho and it could happen today.

Elvis

1.) 31 Jan 2018 14:46:29
I can't find it in the European page.

{Ed002's Note - He has told you what it says.}

2.) 31 Jan 2018 15:00:42
Thanks Edoo2, it was my fault that i didn't see it. You, all, are the best and i am really happy that i read you and not twitter etc, we aprecciate what you are doing for us. Cheers from Greece.

{Ed002's Note - You are very sweet.

25 Jan 2018 17:11:30
New deal for Jose. Not a bad January so far, hopefully more good news to come.

Elvis

1.) 25 Jan 2018 18:15:48
birthday tomorrow nice little present for him.

2.) 25 Jan 2018 18:46:47
looking at it he's just signed a one year extension. hardly a long term deal!

3.) 25 Jan 2018 19:38:46
Not sure we have a great history of signing managers onto long-term contracts, even Fergie was on a one year rolling contract from 2004.

15 Sep 2017 19:48:47
Ed, just wondering if we have any interest in Dendoncker? We were linked with him in the summer and supposedly we touched base with his reps and I've seen some more links today. Thought he stood out for them last year when we played them, even over Tielemans, so just thought I'd enquire, many thanks in advance.

Elvis

{Ed002's Note - There is long term interest from when JM was at Chelsea.}

More and more reports of interest in Lenglet. Have we gone cold on Alderweireld because of Levy's usual excessive demands? I know Ed2 said we had watched Lenglet but made no approach. Maybe that's changed now. I can see us making a move for Lenglet, if Spurs are demanding 60+, not sure we can spend that with so many other areas to address.

Elvis

1.) 08 Jun 2018 12:13:11
That's the first area I'd address.

2.) 08 Jun 2018 12:43:18
Perhaps it’s a ploy to drive down the price for Alderweireld. It seems Lenglet is a target but he may be plan B. Still expect us to sign Alderweireld. Either would be a welcome addition.

3.) 08 Jun 2018 13:31:23
I agree Park it definitely seems to be a negotiating tactic.

4.) 08 Jun 2018 17:04:46
Apparently we offered 55 million and Levy wants 70-75 million. i'd walk away. Its far too much for a player with persistent hamstring injuries who's only got 12 months on the contract. Should be no more than 30 million. Or 25 and take your pick of Smalling, Rojo, Jones or Blind. Heck take 2.

5.) 08 Jun 2018 17:37:20
I think we need a commanding experienced cb to come in this season, somebody who is really going to lead the defence so the attacking players can just go play. I'd like us to get alderweirald but at the prices that we've apparently been quoted it's mad money. I'd take a punt on boateng he's a quality defender.

6.) 08 Jun 2018 17:57:50
Agree mort 70-75m is crazy money for a defender who is 29, no matter how good he is. Alderweireld is the best cb in the league and considering all the factors, 55m is a good deal for both parties. But as we know levy is very difficult to deal with. The only way I believe this can happen on our terms is if Alderweireld forces the move. It does seem there is no way back with him falling out with Poch and seemingly unwilling to accept the offer they have given him. Interesting to see what happens but I expect him to be a united player. Unlikely to see it before the World Cup though.

21 May 2018 15:46:36
Just want to share my two cents about Sanchez and how it impacted our season and see what you guys think.

When we signed him, I wasn't exactly over the moon, like you'd usually be when you sign a big player in the league. He wasn't what we needed at all, nor did it address any of the problems we have seen all season. It made us even more unbalanced and disrupted how we were playing. Around late Dec/ early Jan, we had a pretty settled 11 and were doing okay. I said at the time how it was a more "look what we can do" signing, rather than a properly planned one (over City) . Now this isn't a dig at him or anything, but to me he just doesn't seem a good fit and I'm not sure if we will ever see the best of him (hope I'm wrong) . We desperately needed a RW more at the time (still do) and would of been way more beneficial to our season to sign someone like a Mahrez for example. It's just so frustrating because it's so obvious what we have needed all year and how it's turned out.

The balance in our team has cost us this season and probably impacted how we play in general, so I just hope Mourinho going forward, addresses what we actually need, otherwise this time next year will be even more negative than it already is.

Elvis

1.) 21 May 2018 16:06:02
Elvis I think we are caught in a trap.

2.) 21 May 2018 16:30:13
we can't go back.

3.) 21 May 2018 16:46:36
You lot have got suspicious minds .

{Ed004's Note - My concern with Sanchez is that I don't know if his poor form is down to not being used to our tactics and just him needing a preseason and bit of time to gel. If we can get him to his best there's very few players around better in his position. However, I'm worried we have seen the best of Sanchez. I can't really tell but he seems like he's lost a yard of pace and I'm worried we are going to see a Rooney like decline}

4.) 21 May 2018 16:41:11
Love it Leahy.

'It's always on mind mind', how much it 'all shook up' Martial's season. Maybe we should 'Return to Sender', got a feeling 'it's now or never'. Or simply Sanchez just needs a 'Big Hunk O'Love', but I don't think he'll get it from the 'Devil in Disguise".

Sorry.

5.) 21 May 2018 17:11:31
Haha fair play guys.

6.) 21 May 2018 17:13:15
Also yer completely agree Ed, thought that too tbf. He's been playing non stop for years, so wouldn't be surprised if he is burnt out and he doesn't look at quick as he used to be. Just hope he does rediscover his form, because as we all have seen, he can be absolutely lethal.

{Ed004's Note - I'm hoping he's just burn out and needs a nice rest over preseason. I'm worried tho that he's losing his athleticism that made him a pain to deal with}

7.) 21 May 2018 20:14:53
Very good Beast.
Elvis has left the building.

13 Mar 2018 23:39:43
We have too many good players to play this bad, it's the tactics.

Elvis

12 Feb 2018 12:05:20
Why won't Mourinho try Sanchez on the right? I've been thinking this since we signed him, that it was more a "look at what we can do" signing, rather than one that was well planned or desperately needed, because as we all know, full backs and midfield are far more pressing, than another forward currently. Obviously I'm glad we signed him, but until we actually find a way to use him and everyone else, our attack is disjointed and Martial is not a right winger. Sanchez has played there for Udinese and Barca, so he can do it. I don't think we will see the best of him till we do. Obviously yesterday was a joke, but I don't think it's a coincidence that we were actually playing okay up until we signed him and had a settled attack. So Mourinho should try something different, because it is not working and our form is getting worse, which is worrying with a lot of big games coming up soon.

Elvis

1.) 12 Feb 2018 15:55:18
Elvis, a sensible and accurate post.

05 Feb 2018 19:55:05
Question for you guys. Depending on how Lukaku does and how Spurs do in the next few seasons would you want us to move for Kane? I remember Ed saying in the skarkopod it could be a possibility in a few years, so would you take him or maybe someone else?

Elvis

1.) 05 Feb 2018 20:13:46
I'd take him in a heartbeat. Best English striker since Shearer, and I think he'll go on to be one of the best. There's already not many better than him.

2.) 05 Feb 2018 21:40:41
It was interesting to listen to Rooney saying that players are judged on what they win. Which of course is true. He reckons Kane will get itchy feet if spurs don't win a trophy soon. ' goals oy take you so far you are judged on what you win, on your medal count ' makes sense to me. Harry Kane will move if he is not winning because inevitably players are judged on what they win.

3.) 05 Feb 2018 22:17:59
What a player. Really fantastic. He is something special.

4.) 05 Feb 2018 22:23:26
I'm with you here Stevie I would LOVE kane at united.

5.) 05 Feb 2018 23:05:30
Echo what has been said above. He is a fantastic player who is so deadly in front of goal. Rooney said tonight he reminds him of Ruud van nistelrooy and can’t argue with that. I think if spurs aren’t winning he will look to leave and we should do anything to sign him.

6.) 06 Feb 2018 06:30:52
It’s funny because just like Salah he doesn’t really look like a footballer yet give him the ball and he’s incredible. I think he will go on to a great career, my fear if he joined us is whether he would get any service. Lukaku is a goal machine but can’t seem to get the ball right now.

7.) 06 Feb 2018 08:01:05
Ken
Kane is a fantastic player anyone can see it.
If sold he will go for mega money and every top club would want him .

A yet he has won nothing not a single thing.

He will move because top players want to win things and get paid lots.

8.) 06 Feb 2018 10:36:47
Yep and that's how players are judged inn what they win.

9.) 06 Feb 2018 10:52:10
No it's not Ken.
Kane is judged by what he does on the football pitch .
This obsession with fancy names and belief that if you play for a big team it means your a great player is childish.
It's why auier was the best rb in the league in the summer .

Kane won nothing, yet is rightly judged as one of the best out there .
Maybe the best 9 since shearer who was an amazing player . Shearer Won 1 trophy in his entire career . But surely no one would be daft enough to judge him by that?

10.) 06 Feb 2018 11:06:20
If Madrid or any other team break the bank for Kane it will have nothing to do with what he has or hasn't won .
Won't come I to, it will be about what he can and can't do on the pitch .

11.) 06 Feb 2018 15:28:13
I will like to stick with Lukaku, Need to compare the amount of chances created for Kane and Lukaku and their conversion rate.
Lukaku won't be far behind him.

Completely agree Ed, it's almost like he wants to prove he can change whatever, whenever and reap in the glory when it pays off. Unnecessary changes last night lost us the game.

Elvis

{Ed001's Note - I was actually referring to Tuchel, but it does apply to Mourinho as well of late. He always had success with a small, tight-knit, squad that saw very little in the way of changes to the team he would pick. Strange how lately he chops and changes almost at random.}
