I’ve seen this name linked before but knew nothing of him. Marc Casado of Barcelona. Just read he’s set to leave them. Quick Google, 22-year-old defensive CM. Apart from name, age and position, anyone know much about him as a player? I imagine we’ll be linked because, why not, he’s a cm. ?

He's a good player, but physically he's quite small. It's not clear he'll adapt so easily to the EPL.

As you would expect of any La Masia academy graduate, he's very technically gifted and intelligent on the ball. What he lacks, though, is physicality; he's only 5'7 and is fairly lightweight. He works hard, but is a little too easily brushed aside, which is why Barcelona are open to selling him, especially if they can replace him with Rodri. His sale would represent all profit, and he's a player they see more as a squad depth option rather than a current or future first-choice option.

They've even deployed him at RB at times as cover, and to discover if he could adapt to a less physically demanding position.

He's a good player, no doubt, but if he's too lightweight for Barcelona in La Liga, then he'll definitely struggle in the hustle and bustle of the EPL.
