So Barcelona apparently end their interest in Rashford. Highly doubt that. Think they’re playing a game and will come back with a loan offer later in the summer. Wonder how this will affect Rashford's ego?! Loves Barca, enjoyed his time and they drop him….

Hoping the Bayern story has some legs cause he can’t be here next year. Best for all parties that he gets a permanent move away.

Unfortunately for him, his defensive qualities are extremely limited and he's shown himself to have no desire or ability to improve that aspect of his game. It makes him largely unsuitable for the intense hustle and bustle of the EPL. His past actions and his over-familiarity with Carrick and United make his return to OT extremely undesirable unless there's a serious transmogrification of his attitude and approach. That said, he's a good potential luxury impact player when a normally dominant team needs more attacking options.

He'll end up somewhere, but we may not get what we want for him.

So, along with Rashford, there are Onana, Ugarte, and Zirkzee, who all need to find new homes. None of them will be easy to place without taking a bit of a hit to the bottom line. My guess is Mount stays as a squad player. One can only hope that once this batch of poor business by the old regime is cleared up, the club's considerable revenue resources will be applied to getting us and keeping us where we belong, fighting for 4 trophies every year.

We don't want Rashford, and he doesn't want to be here, so he will move somewhere, and we will get what we get. Same for the others. Damage limitation, I think.

Losing the salaries also helps. Cas and Sancho give us about £30M a year in salary savings.

We weren't paying Sancho anyway, so no saving from last year. We'll save c.£45m a year on his and Casemiro's amortization and Casemiro's wages. I'm sure we will be able to at least loan Rashford out, so we won't re-incur the cost of his wages. Any sale on top of that is all profit. Agreed. It's damage limitation on all the others at this point.

Sancho is such a waste of a footballer... Attitude stinks!!

The purge of the crap we have on our books needs to continue. I hope, beyond hope, Mount is added to the list above. He is the epitome of the old regime. I think if an opportunity arises for other players (CB, for instance), we will also see one of the older guys moved on (Martinez or Maguire - no one is buying MdL while recovering from back surgery).

Only CBs I would keep are Heaven and Maguire. If any offers come in for any of the others, I would get rid, for different reasons.
Yoro, I just don't see him suited to EPL.
Martinez is just not good enough as an EPL CB.
de Ligt is a waste of time, never fit.

In reality, any offers coming in for any one of them, I really doubt it, no chance from big clubs and they ain't wanting to go down to the level they should be at, so stuck with them I'm afraid.

We need an experienced, strong CB with pace. We don't have that at United.
