Reports today that the club have set a mid February deadline for takeover offers. Apparently there is serious interest from the Middle East, Asia and America. We've wanted this ever since the glazers took over and now it looks like it's happening. Really hope due diligence is done by all parties and we get owners that have ambitions for the well being of the football club and not just their finances. Article today about stadium revamps/ rebuilds etc, carrington needs updating so the investment required will be colossal. All I ask as a fan is a clear plan and vision to take us back to the top and for our owners to invest in the club not just see it as a business. Here's hoping to a brighter future and let's see what the next few months brings.

Wouldn't potential bidders be equally interested how the current season panned out before showing their hand, making a summer saga more likely? Or is the short-term situation not likely to affect interest?

I don't think any potential buyer will be to concerned about how the season pans out when dealing with a club the size of United. Same with Liverpool.

The current owners may be more interested than potential buyers as it could increase the clubs value/ share price.
