Did anyone watch the Villareal Arsenal game (highlights? ) yesterday?

Just wondering how Torres got on against Premiership players.

(Can’t seem to find any player ratings for Villareal)

He's very smooth on the ball, and he has good defensive instincts and is fairly pacy. However, I think he does have some physical limitations. While his style of defending is to stay on his feet and dely the attack while his teammates get back into position. That is useful and certainly something our defence could do with. However, I feel he defends this way as he is lacking somewhat in the physical attributes. He is tall, but he isn't particularly strong in the air, and can be bullied by smaller players aerially.

If he moved to the EPL he would need to toughen up a bit before he was ready for a battle on a cold wet Monday night at Turf Moor for example.

He's fairly similar to Lindelof in many ways, just a touch quicker and left footed.

Maybe spend his money on a DM to avoid having to use an extra man in midfield with McFred.

@Shappy You summed up Pau Torres nicely. I ve watched him, Milenkovic and Varane play 4 or 5 times each. Most physical of the three is Milenkovic and he was brilliant vs Juventus. However he s not as good when bringing ball out of defence. Lately he was inconsistent too.
Varane looks most complete of the three.
(I didn't mention Kuonde because his attributes are quite similar to Bailly who just extended his contract)

Varane is without doubt the best of those 3 Dev. But the physicality of the epl would be a potential issue. He is a bit flakey at times and injury prone.
Milenkovic is hit and miss and I agree he is not as confidant on the ball. I've only seen torres in highlights and he stands out as being comfortable in possession and strong.
All good options both torres and varane would complement Harry better than milenkovic imo.
