Neto as an option for RW? 4 assists so far this season and a brilliant one today.
I know Shappy's a fan!

At the time Donny was performing well and looked a top talent. To be fair he still has the quality. He just isn't suited to the EPL and is devoid of confidence. If he goes to Serie A or the Bundesliga then I expect he'll recover his form and look like a great player again.

Not every signing will be successful, no matter how good they were for their previous club. Sometimes the player just doesn't suit the club, the manager or the tactics, sometimes they don't like the new culture and and struggle to settle on a personal level, or they struggle to step up a level, or in United's case they can't deal with the media attention that they receive once they join the club.

It's rarely ever due to a lack of talent, just suitability, or mental and/ or emotional fortitude. Something that's hard to predict prior even if you know the player personally.

I've always said I prefer signing players from the EPL due to there being less concerns about their ability to cope living in England, and with the style of the EPL.

Pedro Neto is a player who had an amazing season a couple of years ago, before having a bad injury. He cam back last season and clearly took a long time to find his feet again. This season he has been rediscovering his best form, and is a player I think the club should be keeping an eye on given our issues at RW.
Others in the EPL we probably should watch are Diaby at Villa who has started well and has all the attributes needed to be a top player. Olise is another who looks like an excellent young player ready to step up to a top club. Bowen is someone I'm surprised is still at West Ham, he could do a job for a top side. Another who I think is underrated but maybe doesn't have that top top level in him is Bryan Mbeumo, I think he'd be a great back up option and is a little underrated in my opinion.

Donny won’t recover and look like a great player……. because he isn’t one.

But Shappy, why would any of those players want to take a step down and join utd?

Ah yes! Of course! because Utd will triple their wages.
