The injuries has probably come up at the wrong time for United. We can only imagine what the results would had been against PSG and Liverpool with our full strength team - probably drawn against PSG and a win against the pool.

Well, this presents another opportunity/ challenge for Ole and his team to show what they are capable with a depleted squad. He overcomes this testing time with flying colors and it would make him more worthy for the permanent position.

Probably having drawn against psg only for injuries, had psg and injuries, will you come out of the fog. Their centre back destroyed our best player in midfield.

So, Leahy do you believe that a fit Martial and Lingard would have made no difference in the match. PSG were very cautious when Martial and Lingard were on the pitch and once they got injured (without the high press at the top end of the pitch), they only had to worry about Rashford and Pogba doing any sort of damage.

Unlike you I am very optimistic and love the games under Ole and I sure we would still be in the tie with PSG, if not for the injuries. PSG are not unbeatable.

Martial and Lingard or Neymar and Cavani - hmmm

I think PSG were significantly weaker than us on account of injuries, yet they dominated with inexperience, unfit and old time players.

You have to factor in PSG's injuries to make a comparison like this.

Welcome back Beastie, we've missed your optimism.

We'll see what Ole has up his sleeve over the next month. Any team would struggle missing this amount of key players. Can the fringe players step up? Can the youth grab their chance?

What's everyone's views on Ole's future if we miss out on the top 4?

Well Beast, with Neymar and Cavani fit we might not have had a chance, but with them missing and a fit martial and lingard, we had a chance, that's the point.

Mumbles, even if we miss out on top 4 I would still give the job to Ole based on what he's done so far and provided he keeps the team playing with the same attacking intent and team spirit for the rest of the season.

Any new manager coming in would be a huge risk and why look at some manager at another club when Ole is doing a great job at our club already. The team spirit is great and the players are responding well to Ole and his coaching staff, there is a great positive atmosphere around the club, why disrupt all that and take a chance with an outsider.

Beast,

The huge difference is that PSG knew they weren’t playing before the game and we had to deal with it during the fame. If Neymar and Cavani had got injured at 0-0 we probably wouldn’t have seen the same result, wouldn’t expect you to see it from that angle though as that doesn’t fit the narrative but it’s true.

Gds2 they would have switched formations and put mbappe up top.
