Mixed feelings about the departure of Sanchez. He's never got close to his best, but is loaning him out and paying most of his wages the best option for us right now? We are one or two injuries away from a selection nightmare - he could have filled a gap or two.

We aren’t paying most of his wages from what I can gather. I worked out it will save us about £15m over the season. I’d have kept him personally but only because we are light on numbers, he’s done nothing to suggest he’s anywhere near good enough.

No need to worry, the BBC are reporting Zlatan could be coming back.

Sanchez hasn’t exactly worked out but I don’t understand the logic of getting rid of him when we are already thin with attacking options. With martial most likely out this weekend it does leave us light. Unless we will be seeing more of Greenwood, Chong and Gomes. Let’s see.

Sanchez is an awkward one. On paper you'd be mad to lose him and not replace him.

But on the pitch he hasn't been any more effective for us than Bebe or Obertan.

Would anyone have kept either Bebe or Obertan just for the numbers? Or would you have preferred to see them go and a talented Gomes, Greenwood or Chong get those extra minutes when injuries or suspensions mount up?

I think the arguement to keep him as back up is based on his pre-United performances not the ones we have seen in a United shirt.

So for me that is why we just need to move him on at whatever cost. His wages have destabilised the dressing room and his performances on the pitch have been non-existent.

Draw a line under it and move on.
