Rosenior sacked. Chelsea will likely be competing with us for a new manager.

Inevitable, really, given their recent results.
They will likely go for a big name this time around.

Hopefully we do too. Good as Carrick has done, he is still learning on the job. I don’t think we can afford another learning-on-the-job manager. I would prefer Carrick to stay with a more senior man above him.
I am still hearing Martinez may be that man, which doesn’t fill me with confidence, but I can see the thinking behind it...
Carrick has been a bit slow to react in games lately, if that’s through inexperience maybe, but a more senior head may just give him more confidence.
But whoever the manager, we still need a decent CB. I fail to see how anyone thinks we have any decent one at the club. Heavan is probably our best potential. Yoro has never been for me, far too weak and just not top quality. Martinez I’m not having, is not good enough. de Ligt is just a waste of time cos never fit.
Maguire is probably the best senior CB we have, so that shows how poor the others are.
We all know we need midfield.
And we 100% need a striker. Sesko is never good enough atm to lead the line for United, he is much better coming from the bench. He’s got all the attributes to be a decent striker but lacks a football brain. You only have to watch a game to see that. Bruno, Cunha are always telling him where to be and what he should do, he seems to lack ideas on movement and positioning. A lot to learn, I am afraid.
We need pace at CB with experience, pace at striker with experience, and two top of the tree midfielders, but I would take one of each of those three positions if they were all top drawer.
No more likes of Ugarte, who may I remind most on here slated me when I said he was rubbish....

German, have you anything good to say about anyone?

I think Carrick is nailed on to get the job. Not what I would want or do. If he secures Champions League it will be all over and the job is his.
Big mistake in my opinion. But I'm no expert, so I'm hoping they know what they're doing.

Blocking those posts is the best thing I ever did on here, so much better when everyone is just having healthy debate.

Sesko is a young striker, and if he gets better service, he will score more goals. He doesn't hide, always tries hard, and I definitely see that he has improved over the season. He would benefit from having an experienced striker to play and train with.

Carrick hasn't got many options on the bench. The overall squad quality is poor.
Personally, I'd like to see Thwaites or Tyler Fletcher get game time over Uguarte. He provides zero contribution to the team.
Our summer signings will be key to how successful Utd are next season.

MH, I agree, that's why I keep saying this summer is so important. Probably even more important if Carrick is given the role. He is going to need as much quality as he can get because good players with the right attitude will win a lot of games regardless of who the manager is.
