So, tomorrow will be the 300th appearance for Man Utd by Bruno Fernandes since he was signed in Jan 2020.

In those, approaching 6 years, he has only missed 17 games, and only 3 of those because of injury or illness. That can be described as nothing short of astonishing.

I think apart from a degree of luck needed on the injury front, it show's a mental strength and resilience and a commitment to the team to achieve those kind of numbers.

I know his attitude, on certain occasions, has been questioned but along with the fact he turned down an obscene amount of money on offer from Saudi last summer and of course the number of goals scored and assists he has achieved in a struggling side, I think makes him deserving of huge credit and appreciation from United supporters (obviously excluding Notimesoon)

I think with bruno 2 things will happen.
Either he will continue to his usual risky passer, or maybe being as part of a midfield 2 he might became a but more sensible with his passing.

So many world class players change their game after they turn 30, so I'll be curious to see how Bruno changes.

Anybody who doubts Bruno’s commitment to our cause is a fool. he's been our best player since day one of signing and remains so now.

(Although I think Cunha and Mbeumo will be challenging for my favourite player tag)

I have to agree with you IWOTB. Good post. I confess I was a nay satmyer that felt we should take the money and reinvest. I also felt he just didn't fot what we re trying to do.

Don't get me wrong even in the past couple of games he's failed to track his man and also lost the ball in key central areas but luck balances out snd the chances were saved or hit the post and de ligt against Sunderland saved a certain goal.

As Ken and Dlib have said small margins for or against still have a massive impact and we got away with them and won't always. But on balance he is an 80 20, getting more right than wrong.

I am glad I was wrong to want him gone. He's put in shifts and toned down the histrionics too. As he learns the movement of cunha mbuemo and sesko I actually think he could go up maybe half a level still worh the quality around him.

But whatever happens he's been a great servant and a crucial backstop preventing us fall any further before the right people starting bringing in the right people.

I really hope the take over doesn't happen. Laat thing anyone needs is more change.

When Bruno first came in he gave us some much needed creativity. Sure his Hollywood passes could be 50:50, but before that we were struggling to create anything. For the first 18months we were a one man team.

You can see Amorim is trying to change the dynamic, Mbeumo and Cunha are starting to take on the mantle of this club. How long has Bruno left, I don’t think we will see Giggs longevity but he will probably be here a while longer, what does this mean for player like Mainoo coming through.

Bruno has been a good player, not a great, but only if you give him freedom off the front players. Not a captain and not a centre mid, far too indisciplined. I believe we should have pushed him and taken the Saudi money in summer, reinvested in Baleba. As a club we are just not as ruthless as ones that have been successful recently. SAF was, he knew when to sell, although didn’t agree on Stam, and was ruthless.

Appreciate Brunos stats and loyalty but he isn’t a good fit in the team where he is now, they must have thought that when buying the three forward players in summer.
Sorry if that doesn’t conform to the idol worship.

Football is a team game. i'm not one bit interested in individual stats of amy player if the team is not performing as a whole.
We have never finished higher than 3rd and never finished lower ever during his time with us.
Not many wc players never win a league title.

Very good servant always tries hard and nearly always available.
He has been a good player but not been able to bring the team forward as a whole to date.
Lots I like about him and there are things I don't like.
But 1 thing is for sure his commitment can't be questioned imo.
