Moises Caicedo - what do you guys think? Although playing in a weaker league does look the complete package and has all the attributes to be a complete midfielder in the years to come.

Now, the manager of his club has dismissed any communication from United recently just after some reports suggesting the club have increased his price. Are the EDs aware of any approach from us?

I feel we must just take a gamble and sign him up. It is difficult to find players having his qualities who is equally good defensively and offensively. I hope we don't mess around like we did with Haaland and then come to regret not signing him.

{Ed002's Note - Moises Caicedo (CM/DM) My understanding is that he impressed when Manchester United were following up on looking at another player who they had first seen in the Real Sociedad reserves. There has been interest in Caicedo from a couple of other sides including PSV and Chelsea.}

Chelsea's interest seems to be in the news lately. Ed002 what do you make of the player?

My boys coach watches a lot of South American football and has been raving about Caicedo. He thinks with the recent purchases of Pellistri and Diallo he seems exactly the sort of player profile that OGS is looking for.
Has potential as a long term replacement as either a HM or box to box for Pogba.
Seems to be a no brainer and worth a punt, could end up saving us a fortune in the long run if it works out.

If he cost £10-£15 million then it isn't a bad price to pay for him. Certainly worth a punt.

Something in the Athletic today about it bring a really complicated transfer with multiple “agents” claiming to represent him etc.

I really like the look of this player. At times, the way he plays you could mistake him for Pogba. He has the passing range, energy, pace, physicality, shooting ability and looks calm and composed on the ball. He also seems to tackle well and defensively good much like Kante.

It looks a no brainer to me as well and he is going to improve even more and has the potential to be world class in the future.

Well Eric79, did you notice the words "energy" and "tackle well and defensively good"? I don't think those words can be associated with Pogba.

Ken - not seen him live. Just some clips on youtube.

You know sometimes when you see a player and you sense and know that this guy is going to go places - it's one of those. I felt the same about Haaland and unfortunately we couldn't get him.

Caicedo is not yet perfect but seems to have all the skills to be a complete midfielder in the near future.

If i was a player trying to make my way in the game i would not go near any team ole was coaching. i'd stay well clear and take my chances elswhere.
