Hi Ed002, who is filling our recruitment and DOF roles then? Mitchell, Ashworth, Freedman, Berta all mentioned, have you heard anything different since your last updates on the matter? Thanks as always.

Thanks for info Ed002. Bit of a surprise there with Mitchell -thought he was the preferred choice?

Were United taking too long to decide and he got fed up with waiting or is Roma simply a better offer?

Ed, I know it's all pure speculation at the moment but I've seen Julian Ward's name mentioned for the roll and noticed Michael Edwards has turned down a chance to rejoin Liverpool. Do you think or know if either of those are genuine candidates to come to United?

Paul Mitchell has always been the fans favourite for a long while and potential link to Ratcliffe increased the chances. I wonder whether there is change of tact with the appointment of Berrada (or maybe it was never real) .
If that appointment is anything to go by we may find out a day or so before the appointment and it may be not the obvious candidate but one that fits with the future model.

I doubt our new DOF will be Mitchell or Ward, and some indications from the likes of Athletic seem to have played down Ashworth recently.
More and more looking like maybe an unexpected name, probably INEOS will be ready to make recommendation/ hire once ratification is complete.

Can someone enlighten me as to why Roma is such an attractive proposition? They aren’t exactly a European super power, unless they have outside investment now……….?
