I Think 90 points will win the league this year.
Maybe even less.
Its a very unusual season. No crowds, ever changing squads, 2 matches every week. Euros at the end of the season it going to be a war of attrition.
Our squad is one of the deepest in the league.
Liverpool will have none of their 1st choice defenders available on Sat and none of their 2nd string would get near our team.
I'm going to stick my neck out now and predict that neither city nor Liverpool will win the league this season. I genuinely believe everything is up for grabs this season. Even the cl. Most of the usual suspects look distinctly average this year.
This season could well be one of the must exciting ever with lots of teams in the hunt in April. I just don't see a runaway scenario this year.

While numbers wise we might have a strong squad, serious questions can and should be asked about the quality of that depth.

If DDG, AWB, Lindelof, Maguire, Telles, McTominay, Pogba, Bruno, Greenwood, Martial and Rashford our our first 11 give or take.

Then Henderson, TFM, Bailly, Jones, Shaw, Matic, Fred, DvdB, Mata, Cavani and James would be our second choice.

With young players like Williams, Tuanzebe and Mengi offering further options.

While some arguements can be made for quality in depth in midfield, and Cavani looks a sharp option up front, while Henderson is probably the best No.2 in the league. The rest of the second choice options wouldn't get anywhere near the first 11 of a top half EPL team.

That's the reality of the situation. While a strong argument can be made that the best players we have suit vastly different playing styles. Finding a consistent style this season with this squad while injuries, suspension, self-isolation and exhaustion will all deprive any manager of any side being able to rely on a consistent starting 11 means this season will be more open, but whether we have a squad capable of taking advantage I strongly doubt.

Got to react to the first point “none of their second string would get near our team” God we are deluded that our defence is any good! I’d personally take Matip and Fabinho over our CH’s and ones a bloody midfielder! Delusion. I hate it but as soon as we get to grips with we are way off the pace of the top 2 from last year and probably spurs too we might realise the depth you speak to is a murky depth in need of cleansing!

Lol have you ever actually watched Matip play? And Fabinho is not a CB. No point trying to fit square pegs in round holes. I'd have him for our DM over any other player though.
