It wasn't brilliant, it certainly wasn't "pathetic". It was just OK.

3rd game in 7 days, which includes Christmas. In those 3 games we've progressed in a cup, drew with Leicester and beat Wolves.

Leicester are having a good season and as for Wolves, we haven't beat them in 4 games while collecting 3 points from 12.

A clean sheet, and a 93rd minute winner by perhaps the most deserving man on the pitch. Rashford has been a shining light in a bleak year, he deserved his moment.

With the current fixture congestion I see that as a brilliant end to the month. Still the same people have a moan and I'm not really sure what more anyone can expect. We saw similar performances under SAF, including one particular title winning season where I recall winning about 6 league games 1-0. Even the mighty Liverpool dropped points during this busy period, against a team who just shipped 5 goals against a team we scored 6 against. Funny old game isn't it.

Villa next in just two days time. They're having a good season and impressed against Chelsea, and have an extra days preparation. I'd take another 1-0 win to keep that momentum going.

Agree with all of this Wazza.

Winning games when playing is bad is what title contenders do.

I am in no way saying we will be a contender. But its a step in the right direction.

Some people just can't be pleased even when we win.

The tough sort of matches we have to win. Wasn’t pretty but a massive 3 points.

Fantastic result! We’ve seen games like this many times over the years, even when UTD were at their strongest. Was a sloppy game but wolves were playing well. So many points have been dropped by all this season so it felt good to grind the result out.

Wazza pretty much on the money there.

Fair post wazza.
Iur would be daft not to recognise the great run of results.
Yesterday the performance didn't worry me at all. Rough schedule so winning was all that counts.
We have done that a lot this season.
Last 2 or 3 games i felt we deserved our wins comfortably.
I don't think yesterday was a step back i think it was just the fixtures taking their toll.
2 points off top spot is a great spot to be in given our start.
I don't care how we get there for the moment but its good to be in the mix. Hopfully performances will improve but if they don't and we keep winning ill take that all day long.
Well done to ole for turning the results around and coping with the cl exit. let's hope we get better to watch and the results keep coming.

I agree Ken. Our response to the CL exit has been brilliant. We’re the form team in the division and I can’t bring myself to complain after a win regardless of how ugly it might be.

But I do think we are playing much better overall. The passing is a lot sharper than it has been, more players are getting involved and the group is looking more determined with every win.

The clean sheet is very welcome, I thought DDG had an excellent game.
