Will take time for the squad to adjust to a new philosophy, new style and what Ralf wants, ultimately they are going to have to work harder than they have before, but even in that one game I saw more to give me hope than in Oles 3 years in charge.

The most encouraging part of the whole thing for me wasn't actually the game, but the after match interview with him. We actually heard from a manager who has a distinct way he wants his team to play, an actual tactical plan, a style. Not just limping 11 on the pitch and hoping for a piece for magic from someone. Was good to hear.

Only negative for me was bringing Sancho off who I thought was really dangerous, he's improving with a run in the side, shock. Rashford was pretty poor again and it should have been him hooked now Sancho.

My hopes were raised when I saw his first press conference a couple of days ago. That told me that we have a proper manager now with the vision to pull United out of the rut. He needs to be given time (either as a Manager or Consultant) and needs to be given the authority and autonomy to stamp his authority, structure, plan, style on the club.

It was a breath of fresh air to hear how he spoke. Clear, concise, not pandering to the clubs 'DNA' but acknowledging it and that the modern game is different.

If anything, I hope we get a good structure in place, allowing our new manager to thrive once he takes the reins.

And no mention of "the boys" or "rashy" or "hendo" which was always mildly irritating - when he left some of them spoke about 'ole" as if he was a team mate- I see Poch getting called out today for not being strict enough with the dressing room at PSG . they are never your friends.

Bfbw, that PSG dressing room is a mess. You have Mbappe who doesn't want to be there and his head is in Madrid. Messi who's either calling it in and is on the retirement tour, or there is a lot of truth in the notion that Messi couldn't hack it in another league in a team that isn't built around him. While Neymar is a law unto himself, regularly gets "injured" around certain times of year then buggers off to spend his "recovery" time with his family in Brazil or wherever else they feel like jetting off to.

Add to that some temperamental ego's like Icardi, Di Maria, Verratti and Donnarumma and you have a recipe for disaster.

They've managed to gather the most talented but mentally questionable squad in world football.

It's a poisoned chalice managing that bunch.
