anyone have any information on ganarchos contract negotiations

would hate to lose him on a free ( which I'm sure is in the summer? )

if someone can clarify, hoping he gets more game time he looks a special talent if he can work hard and keep his feet on the ground.

With young players we always need to temper the excitement.

He's done well in his first two starts for the club. But then so did Federico Macheda, Adnan Januzaj and Danny Welbeck.

He does look like he has a lot of talent and he could become a great player. Yet it's a long road ahead and there have been concerns over him not quite having the right attitude during pre-season.

Hopefully he's been corrected on that and his improved attitude is here to stay.

I can imagine being an 18 year old who has trained with both Messi and Ronaldo that things might gone to his head a little.

He needs to get his head down and focus on his football, listen to the coaches and manager and follow their advice/ guidance. It's probably best for him to sign a new deal soon so he can just focus on his football. But I understand why his agents might be keen to explore what options are available to him.

As fans all we can do is sit back and see what happens. The club are reportedly working on a new deal for him. If he focuses on his football and plays well when called upon them his wages might get an extra zero or two added.

His social media seems to make out playing for united is his dream, let’s hope we get him signed up to a long term deal.

If you meet any top level sports person closely, the difference between confidence and arrogance is minimal. Confidence is really needed to succeed.

Getting the right balance is important but you can’t knock the confidence out of them. Whilst not saying he is a genius, genius can be difficult to understand.

Stop trying to pigeon hole players as we do in Britain, yes there needs to be respect, but let talent have space. We have seen talented kids before, they can go either way, but if Garnacho is the next Messi let’s not snub him out trying to over control him.

From what little I can see from afar with EtH I trust that he has the right ideas to bring these players through. I hope the young players feel that too.

I was disappointed about garnacho not playing more on tour and so far in season, but if he has to work a bit harder to get to the team, and ten hag is clear about what he expects then in the long run it will serve him well.

That said. It is always high risk having a top youth prospect in the last year of their contract. Important that he sees a path to playing, hopefully he sees that.

The lad has been improving all they way through the academy.
He is 18 but we only need to look at Antony to see how eth can inspire and nurture and challenge but also integrate that natural talent into a team structure.
Sancho is also talented so we could have 3 players filling and fighting those 2 wide positions for years.
It is early days for garnacho but everybody has known for 18 months that he will force his way into contention.
Getting opportunities is one thing its how he reacts to the next training session and the one after that and so on that counts.
We all have high hopes for him and wish him the best.
He has the world at his feet a great talent now he needs to use the head in his shoulders to fulfill that talent.

Red Man, no one want to see talent crushed or knocked out of a player.

However, he is 18 and highly impressionable. No doubt social media is blowing enough smoke up his arse to keep him inflated.

Football is first and foremost a team game and any player in that team needs to understand that and work as a member of that team.

I think in today's world it's far harder for young footballers coming through to stay grounded, and to keep focus on developing and improving themselves.

With the money involved, the fame and social media all working overtime to over inflate these young men's ego's it's little wonder why so many go off track. Either never kicking on or becoming embroiled in off field controversies.

The two most naturally talented lads to come through our academy in recent years are Ravel Morrison and Mason Greenwood. Those two names alone should be enough to temper expectations and understanding how precarious being a young player at one of the biggest clubs in the world can be.

EtH has a great record with young players, Donny, FDJ, MdL, Gravenberch, Dest, Timber, Brobbey, Rensch and Kenneth Taylor, all going from academy players to top level first to players under him.

With a CV like that he has surely earned our trust when it comes to handling young players and getting them into the team.

Apparently Garnacho showed signs of becoming a little too big for his boots and that the rules that applied to the likes of Ronaldo and Bruno didn't apply to him.

If he starts out on the wrong path he'll never make it.

From what has been said he sounds like he has bucked his ideas up and started towing the line. Which is exactly what he needs to do if he is going to have any chance of reaching his potential.

DodgyBanter all you have to do is check how many matches he's played. It's not excuses for him, it's simple that he hasn't had a run of games. If he played over 30 matches in a season and shown nothing then I'm ready to write him off. We've given Fred and mctomm over 3 years each and people still support them even though they've shown nothing with actual game time.
