From what I read Murtogh and ETH are not on the same page regarding De gea, Finances playing there part in this.

I really hope we don't see another situation where ETH is not fully supported and he decides to make a point over a season that gets himself sacked.

Who wants what?

Have our board and managers ever been on the same page since the glazers took over. If you look back there’s so many questionable signings that in retrospect managers have said they didn’t want. Sanchez, pogba to name a few. Having people unqualified but with huge egos doing jobs they are incapabale of, is why we are where we are. United should have the best in class but we are far from that.

Murtogh is not going to be there once the sale goes through. I would not worry about eth. The club hiarchy all going to get a wake up call and expect plenty of changes coming.

Priority is a CF as we could not score enough goals to blow teams away when we should’ve and legs in MF especially when Case was missing. I’d blow our whole budget on Kane and Rice if doable (obvs player sales with help) and sign DDG up again rather than outlay on a new GK. While I also feel we do need a new GK I think you get away with DDG in goal with players comfortable receiving the ball like Licha and Varane, while I’d like better quality to rotate with Varane if signing Rice and Kane meant Lindelof was cover and DDG stayed on then I’m all for it.
But none of this will happen and we will be lucky to end up with Onana, Todibo/ Disasi, Mount, Hoijlund (if Bayern don’t get there first) and I’d be happy with that window tbh with ETH as manager, Garnacho breaking through some more and player sales likely to happen, tho I’d have picked Costa, Kim, Rice, Kane as my window.

Just hoping we make enough quality signings to make top 4 next year; because of greed of Glazers and legacy lack of planning, we’re in a really messy situation this window.

Hopefully new owners will run the club more professionally and we’ll be able to operate like Man City and Liverpool, to name a few….

So fingers crossed we do enough to improve the first team this window and not allow our incompetence to miss out on main targets.

Really hoping takeover agreed very soon and new owners allow Ten Hag some financial freedom in the market (FFP allowing) .

Obviously we will get the money from selling Maguire, Fred, McT and Martial.

I know Dodgy, that’s in the parallel world I occasionally frequent ? I’d settle for Rice and Kane ??.

It’s obvious really.

Costa £65m
Kim £50m
Rice £100m
Kane £100m
= £315m spend

Speak to the Saudi’s and…
Maguire £50m
Fred £40m
McT £50m
Martial £40m

Add Henderson £25m and VDB £20m and we only need to find £90m.

It’s so simple when you think about it. I don’t know what is taking us so long to be honest.

The Saudis are buying up Chelsea rejects to help them get around FFP because they're invested in both Boehly's Clearlake Capital and in Saudi Football league teams They won't want to help United get rid of its dross.

{Ed002's Note - Are you beyond ignorant? Clearlake Capital is not Todd Boehly’s. I am not aware of “The Saudis” buying any rejects and it is nothing whatsoever to do with FSG. Embarrassing.}

The Saudi League is a bit like the Liv golf thing, where from a pure spend/ investment purpose it makes no sense. If you look at other things being done there at the moment like Neom, DDGA, Red sea, seven etc etc financial returns of this stuff is all very questionable but its being done with a long term view of completely changing the country.

When it comes to football it has a 40 mill population and they are crazy about their football so in some ways its not as far fetched as the other stuff.

In terms of relationships all the PE firms, Large hedge funds have had relationships with sovereign wealth funds out here for many years so nothing unusual there.
