Positive spin on the gloom. Allegedly some players aren’t playing for ETH. Allegedly we’re defeats away from sacking another manager and repeating the cycle.

Well, here’s an idea. Club statement that ETH is here for the long-haul and let him drop the lazy not behind the manager players.

Begin with Rashford.

As long as he avoids relegation, I don't care.

Yesterday the scoreline paints a different story, but atleast we were trying to play on the front foot.

We've had wins vs Brighton playing far worse and scoring 1 goal from 1 shot.

Our aim should be finish top 5, and have a squad closer to what he wants than this year.

If we sack him, what next? You repeat the cycle.
It will be clueless to sack. If he fights and freezes players out so be it.

Some gestures have been made to impress upon the players that ten Hag is more important to the project than they are. Getting rid of Ronaldo was such a gesture. It seems United will allow him to make big decisions. I'd be surprised if players not liking him will be the reason he gets ejected.

Backpass, do the top 5 of this season get into the CL for next season?

Rashford is one of our best player and best goal threat. He has never been an assist type of winger and his decision making can sometimes look very selfish and poor.

Even when he hit the post, reguillion is wide open on an overlap running into the box but rash came inside and took the shot. Fine margins in football and if he lays if off does regullion find hoiland, we will never know.

I have to disagree with the idea he is not trying, if anything trying too hard to make something happen.

Rashford is vastly overrated and I’d okay Garnacho ahead of him who has vastly more ability. Sick of Rashford getting defended for being selfish and lazy tbh.

Only tentative positive I can grasp at from current debacle is that might finally trigger a sale from the Glazers who will abandon a sinking ship.

I'd take finishing 16th right now, utd are that bad. Utd would actually improve attitude wise playing the youngsters. Sell the lot of them, they don't want to work, train etc and poor them for ten hag expecting standards the spolit brats.

Ahmed did you not see Rashford strolling about rather than putting in a press and challenge? Sorry but his commitment disappears way too easily for my liking. There is a big difference between selfish and stupidly failing to look up for better options and so running into a blind alley and losing possession. For me he does the latter too often.

Rashy is our best finished no question so I don't mind him having a pop if it's an opportunity. But he's definitely a selfish player, saw this for Utd and England in midweek when there are others better placed. 9 shots yesterday without scoring, would have been a Utd record if not for a spectacular feat by Ibravimovic a few seasons back which was 12 shots/ no goals vs . Burnley. Bad omen?

You’d take finishing 16th? Haha crazy, we will be challenging for top 4 in my opinion, tricky start but once players are back we will be fine.

I really can't get into we hate rash and he is overrated camp. They are not machines to press for 90 minutes. Brighton are very difficult to press and we kind of looked lost in the second half and could not get the ball off them and they were happy to circulate it in their own half and hit us on the counter the more we pushed up.

The idea of Garchcho starting ahead of him is a non satrter for me and comes from peoples frustration. Garnacho is very raw and has no link up play and a south to north runner. He gives the ball away too many times. He is an impact sub atm when the game is open and there is space. We can change 10 coached he will never start ahead of rash atm.

I don't know if anyone caught it Hoiland had a great cross early in the game and he went with the wrong foot and ball passed him, a lot of strikers would put that away. He is raw like garnacho and there growing pains ahead for both.

Finally everything good offensively has rashfords finger prints on it. He dragged us back from 2-0 against forest and scored our only goal against arsenal.

The team is playing awful defensively and should not be conceding goals like yesterday. there was nothing special about any of their goals. My question is how can their midfielders running in be so open and so much space in our box.

G2S you’ve got to laugh. I wondered how long it would be before the relegation predictions were echoing around. It was after 2 games last season, at least we made it to 5 games this season.

Ahmed I didn’t suggest a hatred of Rashford. Nor did I mention Garnacho or Hoiland. The fact remains that he needs to up his game in terms of passing to the better option but he often fails to even look up for an option. Difficult to press for 90 minutes? Even to accept that does not excuse a total indifference and lack of interest to pressing. The support he got from his left back was impressive. The lack of interest in reciprocating that support and leaving his left back exposed so often is inexcusable by any measure.

I agree there were opportunities where he should have laid it off or crossed. He has never been that type of a winger and maybe with time and playing with hoiland regularly he changes and adds that to his game. we had 7 assists combined last year from our antony and rash. Antony is even worse in that category.

Ahmad stop deflecting. I didn’t mention Antony but you always come back with a ‘but somebody else is worse’ response. That somebody else might be worse isn’t justification for not being good enough oneself!

I will say this.
You are 3-0 down and at home.
I am really unfit, and I'll be busting my lung to get back into the came.
I only saw a couple, Regulion who looked like he wanted to do something and Hannibal who want to fight and win.
The goal that Hannibal scores starts from a tackle from Regulion.
Two players we didn't think that would be here in pre-season.

I have no sympathy for rashford. He is jogging. Letting brighton players pass around like it's a training match.

Who is deflecting. I have said for months we are not a team that crosses the ball and both wingers come inside looking to shoot and not going to change that in 2 days prep time after an international break. Hoiland has played a total of 90 minutes with our guys and it will take time.

We did not play well yesterday and it was not Rashford's fault. We lost the game and some of the stuff being said about him is way over the top.

Its a team game and fine margins and key moments in most games. you need 7/ 8 players playing well to win games and at the moment we are not getting that.
