Randomly driving, GPS took me down Veron Road, and it got me thinking about how JSV was probably the most disappointed I've been with a signing in my time supporting Utd.

I used to watch a lot of Italian football when Parma were decent, and have been an avid football manager player over the decades, hence Veron was someone I had very high hopes of being a success.

Trying to think of someone else who had such high hopes of, but then was a catastrophic failure.

For me it would have to be Veron or Falcao. Two players I admired from a far before they joined and players I had high hopes for only for them to be disappointing once in the famous red shirt.

Another player who I was disappointed we didn't see the best of was Diego Forlan, while I didn't have the same expectations when he joined, it was clear he was a good player and it just never quite worked for him. Winning the European golden boot after he left just further highlighted what a good player there was in there, just a shame he never really worked for him at United.

Yep, forgot about Falcao signing! Still maintain my personal disappointment of Veron.

Think the di Maria and Pogba comments have misinterpreted the question as being our worst signing, neither of which I'd argue with!

Pogba resigned, I did have high hopes of, but not in the same realm as Veron.

Di maria, I've never thought to be even half decent.

Falcao, schweinsteiger, Sanchez, Di Maria, DVB were pretty horrible signings. Then you have the likes of Pogba and Sancho and Antony. Pick one all pretty awful.
