I'm really buzzing after the past two days, but any deal for Miranda would bring me right back down to earth. He's a decent centre back don't get me wrong, but £20m+ at his age? No thanks. There are much better options out there imo. We have never paid that sort of money for a player of that age unless they were exceptional (eg RvP), I wouldn't be too impressed by that signing.

Miranda was probably the best CB in the world over the last 12 months. It's a little harsh to say that he's not exceptional given that there's only two CB's (Hummels and Silva) better than him.

Agree that the fee seems a little high though given his age and the fact that he's publicly stated that he's after a new challenge. At £12m - £15m though he'd be a top signing!

Its the best season he's had in his career, before may how many people were that aware of him or were calling for him as a signing? I wouldn't be thrilled either, for that money we could get vermaelen and one of de vrij or Indi martins.
