Looks increasingly likely LVG is packing his bags in the summer for an early retirement. Who would you rather have, Poch or Jose?

I personally don't think you have a hope in poaching poch! I seriously cannot see him undoing all what he has so far achieved behind the scenes at spurs! He has scouted the best British scouts, the training complex is the best around as will the new ground be. It seems the pres are playing with the heads of United supporters!

Pochettino all day long for me. He is young, progressive, plays good football and gives youth a chance while helping to develop them.

Everything we could want from a United manager.

As for would he leave Spurs? that's 50/ 50. He is doing very well and seems settled there, but the same could have been said when he was at Southampton.

Poch is very ambitious, as he proved when he left a very good Southampton side for Spurs. At Spurs he is building an excellent young team. However, he hasn't been given a lot of transfer funds, and has had to sell players in order to buy. Given Spurs tighter financial limits, it would very difficult to win the league or the Champions league (however, with the league this season it isn't beyond possibility) . With the money at our disposal we have far more potential to win trophies. The question for Poch is whether it would be better to stay at Spurs and keep building what he has been building but never have the money to compete at the very top, or take a risk on us and see if he can get us back to a dominant position.

Sticking with Spurs is a safer bet, and I'm not sure with the state of our club at the moment he'd take the gamble.

I don't see Pochettino leaving just yet.

I'd take Mourinho - get us back on track quickly to winning things. Pochettino is younger and we will have opportunities to get him in the future. This might be our last chance to get Mourinho however.

I'd also like to see Pochettino go to a 'bigger' club first than Spurs. Let's see how he deals with big ego's and the greater scrutiny and pressure he would be put under. It would be a bigger risk than Mourinho.

Our poch has only sold players he doesn't want! He hasn't been forced to sell anyone! ! He does also have funds to buy but trusts in his squad and the excellent youth system we have in place! ! No chance will he leave absolutely no chance!

Mourinho for me and ignore the nonsens about his behaviour he will so fine for us.

For us to fight off Guardiola next year we need Mourinho it will be good for english football and will give a lot of confidence/ strength to our players to compete at the highest level next year.

I'm in the Jose camp too. Poch too raw and unproven for the United job even if he is doing well currently. Jose is good at getting players to play as a collective team, something we haven't managed under LVG. He also gets the most out of his players barring this years strange anomaly.

Jose would be a long term disaster.

Always get people like Brinkley from other teams panicking when we mention their players / manager. It is not disrespectful to suggest that managing United is a bigger challenge / career progression than managing at Spurs, the expectations are entirely different.

Poch came out the other day and said he doesn't have many funds available, at United he would have a lot to spend. He might not want to leave yet but if he wanted to progress his career United would be a good choice for him.

Jose is a done deal . journo's are trying to get under the skin of Spurs, probably Gunners trying good old mind games. Do you think Jose would be this quiet if he didn't know where he is going on June 10th😆😆.

I have read somewhere that Spurs will have limited funds to invest in the squad for the next 3-4 seasons even allowing for the bumper TVs deal as they fund the new stadium. If this is correct I suspect it may impact on poch's decision whether to stay or whether to go.

Interesting times ahead. I would say whatever the club intends to do I hope they get their act together and get the new man in (if there is to be a new manager) as soon as the season is over so as to allow him to get a full preseason in with the players he wants.

I'm not panicking fella . no need to do that . I was just responding to the United fans getting wet dreams over poch . first lloris, then kane and now poch! You do give us a giggle.

Brinkley, we have never tried to sign Lloris. Don't know if your aware but we have a young spanish lad called David De Gea. He's pretty good, so no need to move for Lloris.

We haven't made a bid for Kane either, at least not yet.

In fact the only Spurs players we have bid for in recent times have been Carrick and Berbatov.

At least you have a chairman who'll fight off the big clubs and stop them signing your best players such as Bale or Modric.

Don't get me wrong, I have a soft spot for Spurs. And I would much prefer to see you guys win the league over City or Arsenal.

But don't let your current position go to your head. If we went all out to get Pochettino it is highly likely he would end up at Old Trafford.

You have a good team, one of the best Spurs sides I can remember. But just imagine if you had Bale and Modric in your line up. You would be genuine title contenders every season. But you don't because your club has financial limitations. Your stadium will only limit you more over the next few years at least. As a result you will find it hard to stop the traditional "big" clubs from prising your best players away from you. Hopefully with Levy in charge you will get a pretty penny for you best players. Hopefully that means sales can he kept to a minimum, but they will happen.

Well there was talk about your keeper packing his bags and heading home! Then the cry was who too replace him when he goes? Think the majority wanted the best keeper in the league! Times have changed . llloris didn't even mention United but said he wwasn't interested when rumours of psg were being linked with him. tThesame with kane when your lot were Iinterested and a chance to join the 'biggest' team in England according to the press. to which kane replied I'ma sspurs fan and I consider myself already at the biggest club! When benitez was sacked and the rumour mill went iinto overdrive . poch said in a conference 'I think I'm in a ppercentage of 2% of managers that wouldn't be interested, I have a project here that I want to see out and finish, in our oopinion and a good few others we have the best keeper in the league and probably 2nd best in the world and certainly wouldn't swap him for anyone, we have the best two centre half pairings in the league easily. wouldn't swap any of our midfield apart from martial .
It does make me laugh how people peering through the window think they know what's happening inside the house? Levy is very astute he has stood by and watched the way dial square did their stadium. The deal with the NFL and other sponsorships that he has recently collected will not see us struggle and it won't see us being frugal in future transfer markets . Every player we have wants to be at our club . Every backroom staff member wants to be at our club that that haven't and those that have caused trouble have been moved on! . I remember you being in the old second division. you wasn't the biggest club in the world then! Empires are built over time. we'rejust eenjoying the ride at the moment. good luck for the rest of the season.

2 thirds of a good season and spurs fans on this page too now! I would love poch think he is a superb manager and with the resources that one of the biggest clubs on earth could offer him he would make the next step to an elite manager imo.
I think if we did want him it would be a tough job for him to turn down he seems very ambitious to me.

Pochetino more of a risk than Moyes. We need Jose -the ego has almost landed 😆😆.

Pochettino has turned down money, no point in buying for the sake of it. Only if the right players become available.

Brinkley,

That is one of the most deluded hilarious posts I've read on here in a long time, I don't even think you are joking. We are having our worst season ever in the prem and you aren't even that far above us, you've had a decent season but Christ, you sound like you've won the double and preparing for a champions league final.

Gds2; deluded? Ha ha listen, if the press said United wanted to sign the queen you would actually believe it and claim Buckingham palace wouldn't stand a chance of holding onto her! That's how deluded you are fella . at least some other posters argue sensibly!
