I never look forward to going to anfield, we always seem to play poorly apart from that time under lvg where went there and bossed it with mata getting an amazing brace.

Joses record in the league against liverpool does give me some hope however.

In my opinion, we've got to match them in midfield and in effort. If we play a two man midfield, then we'll lose by 3 or 4. If we don't match their effort, then I can't see us getting anything from the game.

I always look forward to it. Face the challenge. Accept the challenge. Overcome the challenge. That's what being a United player is all about. We should go there with no fear. Sure they are playing well I see it as an opportunity to burst their bubble a win at anfield will kick start our season. I can't wait to see how we accept the challenge.

Mata shouldn't play on the right. Liverpool's defence is still a bit suspect, especially at lb. We need to have some pace to go behind Zlatan - two of Martial, Rash and Lingard. I agree we need to play three in midfield, but I would play Schniderlin to help out the back two.

I see Jose playing carrick and Herrera behind pogba in midfield. Zlatan up front.
The 2 wide positions any 2 from martial rasford Mata and Jessie and all 4 have valid claims to be starting.
Martial scored a fine goal against stoke and will have more confidence.
Jessie great movement will track back. Must be buzzing after being chosen for England.
Rahford likewise. Pace, goals confident big name temperament.
Mata brings good form experience fresh legs agree a intl break. He can offer great options between the defensive lines of a high press game
So it's anybody's guess
But what great options to have
Will Miki make the bench?

Not too sure about that nik. I tend to agree with Ken on this one. 2 protecting the back 4 with pogba being able to roam and push on.

Martial and lingard wide with rash up top. Although it could go pogba, herrera with mata at 10.

I hope jose will look for high energy to try and counter Liverpool with Carrick and herrera sitting to keep their own tempo.

Not sure nik but I don't think he will though.
This match will be quicker than fast and furious 7 and that's no usually fellainis type of game.

Only thing i'm bothered about is the night game, and usually the liverpool crowd shows up on night games so they will be right behind the team.

If it was a day game then i'd fancy our chances on a night can go either way.
