I'll be shocked if tenhag is in the dug out for our next game. That felt like Ole against Watford.

Prepare to be shocked mate. We are in limbo atm until the sjr deal goes through and he starts bringing in his own people. Most of those above eth are on borrowed time so nobody is making that decision to sack him…. at least for the time being!

Manager of the month?

What Tim says makes sense, you bringing in a new CEO and DoF to run the club you let them make the decisions.

It might well be that the person they want won't be available until the summer and then they will have to work out the best way to finish the season.

Tim’s right: ETH safe until SJR comes in. Glazers can’t afford to sack him and won’t care anyway - they’re passing on sporting success to SJR.

However, as soon as new leadership team in, then, if results don’t improve, ETH could well be on his way.

Ten hag is not the issue here. I honestly worry for people if they actually think Ten hag is the main problem here. These players just give up when the going gets tough we've seen it time and time again. Bring in a new manager and they might chuck the effort in for a little while but they will revert back to their old ways after a while. We have players still in the squad from LVG/ Jose/ Solskjaer/ Rangnick's tenure it's no coincidence and we still need to move on and replace about another 9-10 players. Until that happens and there's a change of structure above expect more of the same crap to continue.

Well Damon he has made 16 signings including loans and we still start with Martial up top and Johnny Evans coming off the bench. I blame him for that.

Damon

Iwe all know the players are the issue. But there's people now hiding behind that fact to allow the manager slack. At ht a blind man could see we needed to change things. His subs are reactive not pro active. Picking martial who is a waste of space has to be questioned. Everyone was at fault yesterday including the manager.

Its amusing on here how its changed from this teams not that bad and getting kane in we can challenge to bin them all. there's 95% of the squad stealing a living overrated on wages they've never earnt just been rewarded with.

Moving forward we have to have a wage cap joining players will always look at deals mount shaw bruno rashy are on and compare themselves to that. Then we just continue being a pay club. There shouldn't be many that don't have a price on there head. Anyone joining shouldn't have there wages doubled. Bruno was given a new deal after getting top 4 is that a achievement that should be rewarded?

I want ETH to succeed and last year I thought we were on the right path
But this season my god, yes injuries etc but he has got to be able to set us up better than this! Every other team in the league is better organised, more solid, and offers more of a goal threat half the time! Not good enough.

Couldnt disagree more Damon, 18 months on and no one knows what style of play ETH is supposed to have, how many players have improved how many of his signings have been a success?

Im the first to admit I hvae no idea who could come in and make improvements people will say Nagelsmann, Big Ange, De Zerbi, Emery blah blah blah my point is ETH seems to be far from the manager we thought we were getting and is looking way out of his depth.

Yesterday was nt just bad it was shockingly bad, to think 11 players could go out and represent a PL team and play like that in front of 75000 fans. ETH cannot be allowed to distance himself from that i couldn't care less if he stays or goes anymore he's just a grey grey man with very little personality doing a poor job.

He can't pick Hoijlund every game if he is running his legs off and getting no service. Maybe ETH was saving him for the Bayern Munich match?

I am sure ETH impresses upon the players time and time again the need to start with high intensity and it's not his fault that the players don't listen. He has like previous managers inherited a mentally shot squad.

We need to back him and give him another season at least once the Radcliffe deal goes through. He is surely trying to get rid of the deadwood but presumably there are very few takers. He can't buy if he can't sell due to FFP rules. That makes his job doubly difficult.

Sacking ETH and getting in a new manager won't change the fundamental problems. ETH built a thrilling team at Ajax and he can do it again.

Salford I do tend to agree, that team is so far away I’d imagine from what he envisages his team to look like but in order to get himself the chance to fulfil this job he needs to show us something! Yesterday he picked martial and expected what exactly!? He hasn’t got the players he wants available but still think outside the box and show us something! Yesterday was a killer . Felt an important day for ETH tenure .

I doubt very much he's going anywhere in the short-term as the people who'll make that decision aren't even officially at their desks yet. But as an investor I'd also be highly dubious of giving him any pocket money in January. I see Erik's already put the feelers out suggesting he doubts we'll do any business. Other than a few more dodgy loans (see: Malen) I think this is his lot and he's got to prove that his 'process' is working cause there's no sign of it at the moment.

Bruno got booked yesterday. It was an easy way out for next weekend. I really do think the team would excel if he was sold. His petulant attitude on the pitch is not what you need in a leader.

Some of the players are the problem but Ten Hag isn't helping himself by continuing to pick those that always let him down.

Good managers are able to find solutions to problems but Ten Hag looks like he isn't even trying.

The isssue I’m having with ten hag right now, is that we are seeing the same issues week in week out from the 1st game of the season.

I see everyone is criticizing the manager for picking Martial. I think you have to manage peoples minutes with Bayern and Liverpool coming up. If you are in eth shoes you have to believe martial should do a job against Bournemouth.

TBH we were very poor and so many players were poor and if it was just a martial thing I would agree. Front 3 were all poor and Bruno and Mc were just as culpable. When you get 5 of your front 6 turning in a 3/ 4 type performance, you get a result like Bournemouth.

Finally I looked like shaw picked up an injury as he asked to come off and we are back to crisis mode in defense and could not happen at a worst time.

Didn't ten hag want Kane and Darwin Nunez prior to that? He doesn't want to have Martial starting I can guarantee that. A lot of his signings are also injured plus the fact the likes of Sabitzer, Butland, Weghorst loans were out of desperation more than anything else as there was no money to spend. He wanted De Jong they gave him Casemiro as a panic buy after losses to Brighton and Brentford. He wanted Kim min-jae the club gave him Jonny Evans on a free. A lot of the players he actually wanted weren't delivered. He's got the hardest job on the planet he needs time. Sack him and do what exactly? The players get off scott free again nah not having it. It can take 3 or 4 years to get the squad you want especially the state of ours when he came in. If we bring in another manager they won't suddenly turn the likes of Maguire and Lindelof into Ramos and Puyol.
