Hi ed you have said in the past that chong and gomes both wanted out. Today i read that chongs agent has said the club have different views on the player than ole. Is this the case or is it just a lack of playing time and club ambition. I remember it took the club a while to get him so i wouldn't have thought they would want him to leave.
Thanks as always.

W16wes

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you have read but the situation is that tey are out of contract and can speak to sides from countries other than England and Wales. If MU wish to keep them the process is simple - good offer and a roadmap.}

Hi ed do you think the current format of the transfer window is now here to stay? I only ask because i'm sure club meet last year about maybe taking it back inline with europe.
Also thanks a lot for all the info over the summer. The addition of the podcast was nice idea too.

W16wes

{Ed002's Note - The clubs (at least most) voted for it to change because they were stupid enough to think everyone else would follow. It may well change again in the future but for now it will remain unchanged.

Ed001 will be pleased about your comment on the podcast.}

Hi eds few rumours of interest in alexis from italy. Is it just usual nonsense? Or has any interest in him developed?
Thanks as always big thanks for the season before the summer nonsense starts.

W16wes

{Ed002's Note - I am aware of him being offered to an Italian side but it would not be financially viable.}

Getting Sanchez and Pogba out the door is possibly the most important business the club needs to do this summer. Both massively disrupt the dressing room for different reasons.

If we are to rebuild the garden the weeds need ripping out first. That might leave a massive bare patch in the lawn but the garden will never flourish if the weeds are allowed to remain. They will draw all the resources to themselves and choke the life out of any new shoots.

Rip them out root and stem. Then and only then will growth be possible.

Thanks a lot for the info ed have a great day.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

3.) 12 May 2019 12:56:54
Getting Ole Gonner our non-manager is a rather more important defenstration.

4.) 12 May 2019 13:02:39
Its not Sanchezs fault he is on 500k a week or whatever and he has a better attitude then Pogba. He is just a bit reserved where as Pogba is the main problem and players like Martial, Rashford and Lingard hide behind him.

Its another thing Sanchez isn't playing well or past his best but you can't put fingers on him b3cause of the wqge he g3ts or his attitude.

5.) 12 May 2019 13:21:58
Singh, I would question Sanchez's attitude. Against Huddersfield he didn't fancy it and asked to leave the pitch at the first chance he got. Are his wages his fault? Certainly not, but he did choose money over the chance to win trophies. Pep was in for him until his wage demands put City off. That suggests that money was his motivation for this move and not football. He gets the money regardless so why give your all.

His attitude is better than Pogba's, but that isn't saying much. Like saying Mussolini's rhetoric was better than Hitlers. Marginally but neither were great.

Sanchez appears to work hard on the pitch when the ball is near him, but other than that he doesn't do the leg work required. He has one of the lowest distance covered per 90 minutes in our squad. Pogba on average runs nearly twice as far during a game. Makes more sprints, and attempts and wins more tackles.

Either way attitude aside, the wages and the bonuses Sanchez is on is destabilising the dressing room. DDG is demanding parity to Sanchez, and why shouldn't he based on form? Both were signed with more than half an eye on the commercial benefits each of them could bring the club. That is why Ed went the extra mile on their wages. They are exactly the type of signings the club should be steering well clear from in the future. To re balance the dressing room they both need to go, regardless what is costs the club.

6.) 12 May 2019 13:24:28
Yes never ever sanchez fault, he is just the highly paid victim with problems all around him. We will just ignore the fact he has as many goals in the premier league as kasper schmeichel has assists.

Just a post to the eds. thanks a lot for all the info kept the summer exciting. The sharkopod was a very good listen as always. The banter from all eds is top notch and just a big thanks for putting up with a load of lads that ed up like whiging children during the window. Fantastic site keep up the good job and hope the last hours aren't as painful as they seem.

{Ed001's Note - cheers W16 appreciate that mate.}

Ironic the odd transfer window when we don’t get an Ed 02 info embargo and we don’t do any business πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

The lad shouldn't get any guarantees at all with first team exactly the same as gomes if u get the chance you take it. But i would love the club to grab a young potentially good player and try to develop him inhouse. We could always make it a future transfer for next summer with then loans the season after. The club has risked a ton lately on the likes of alexis giving ddg a mass deal when we had henderson. Risking on a young lad might be a change of pace. 2-3 seasons we don't know who will be in midfield n he could or could not slot straight in but if he wants it enough I've always thought were a team that can develop some great talents. i'd love to go back to that rather than double or tripple every players wage we want to sign n then they come in and coast.

I guess the question is if you get 70m in the summer surely that's better than nothing plus another year or 2 of wages at reportedly 350k a week without really playing. Its hasn't worked with him so far so its not likely to. Maybe abit of playing trading might get us something in return.

Ed has the clubs stance on pogba changed at all? It seems like from the outside for both parties i would be better to part company.

W16wes

{Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed.}

Ed if the season was suspended now and ended which is probably the right decision with how life is atm. How would you expect europe and relegation be handled? I know a while back they said same teams in europe as this season but i'm sure teams won't be pleased with that scenario.

W16wes

{Ed002's Note - There is no suggestion to simply void the season on the table. And I think it unlikely that anyone will look to go down that route.

Spain (RFEF) have decided that they will end the season, if the games cannot all be completed (whether they restart or not), by drawing a line across now, not awarding the title, and settling European places based on current positions (with the exception of the Copa del Rey place which if played will go to the winners else to Athletic Bilbao if it can't). The critical point is that if the season restarts but cannot be completed, the results revert to the standings at the start of the suspension - and the results of the games played after the restart would be voided - this is controversial as far as La Liga are concerned and they have a counter proposal that says if the games restart and then stop, those positions when it stops for a second time should stand. But the decision belongs to RFEF and typically they would overrule La Liga. Whilst they want to complete the league, they too are going to draw a June 30 line across if the games cannot start on May 28 and complete by then – although they have proposed a back stop of the end of July (but nobody wants to use it and clubs don’t wish to exercise it). They have not addressed promotion and relegation completely at this time but seem open to the two up/none down principle as others are considering.

The "Bundesliga" plan if they cannot complete the season: draw a line across; no champions; European places on current standings; top two promoted down through the leagues; no relegation this season but addition one relagated next two seasons. The approach has a lot of support.

Scotland have used the threat based model - vote for what we say and we will give you money to help you stay in business.

Belgium has gone roughly down the "Bundesliga" approach but have assigned Champions (there was a lead that could not be caught but play offs were wiped out - so Club Brugge are champions and all of the other sides agreed. This was driven by the simple desire that it could not all be completed by June 30 based on advice.

The PL is aware of all of this and if needs be will need to be bold and come up with a plan. My expectation is it will follow the "Bundesliga" approach.}

Im not sure why when the virus isn't at peak here we couldn't have just played weekends n midweek to try get the season near as damn it done. But then i guess that's just selfishness of a fan to want to watch the game.
Anyone saying that you can't have a winner this year jesus christ. there's a clear winner and everyone can see it its not tarnished its well deserved.

Has grealish done enough to justify want villa would want for him? Is he also a player we need to try and shoe in to the team? Ighalo will be interesting but i guess itll be his wage demands that may make or break a deal as he's on a good wedge in china.

I would personally just like us to turn a game on its head i know the stat was under ole we haven't won when conceding first. Not sure if its still valid but if it is we need to get over it you can sense when we go behind we won't win. Blame all the players we want but u win lose or draw as a team.
